Possible Reason For TNA’s Month-Long Silence After Bound For Glory

TNA Wrestling’s extended silence following its Bound For Glory event in October could be tied to budget management and the ongoing negotiation of its new television deal with AMC Networks. Sources speaking to Fightful Select didn’t give an official answer, but some believed the company paused television tapings for operational reasons while finalizing the agreement. The break lasted several weeks before TNA resumed activity.
Work on the AMC deal reportedly began in the spring, but only a small internal group handled discussions. Information remained restricted until December 2, when the roster received a formal briefing hours before the public announcement. The tight control over details fueled speculation about the company’s status during its quiet period.
The new agreement positions Thursday Night iMPACT! On AMC and AMC+ beginning January 15, 2026. The program will air every Thursday from 9 to 11 PM ET, featuring a mix of live broadcasts and taped matches. Internally, the move to a major network has been viewed as a significant opportunity for broader reach and more consistent exposure. While most talent reacted positively, some wrestlers expressed hope that the shift may eventually increase the emphasis on creative decisions.
While the announcement initially sent the wrestling world speculating about the future of WWE’s ongoing partnership with TNA, several reports have confirmed the working relationship will continue as expected.
