Update On Injury Statuses of Matt Hardy, Bryan Danielson & More

A new report has some details on the injury statuses of several AEW stars including Matt Hardy, Bryan Danielson, and more. Fightful Select reports that Hardy was “banged up” after his match at AAA TripleMania XXX: Tijuana this past weekend, where he teamed with Johnny Hardy (aka John Hennigan) against Dragon Lee & Dralistico. The site notes that he was said to have some major swelling in his knee, though there’s no word about how severe the issue is.
The site also notes that there is not yet any definitive stance about Bryan Danielson ahead of his segment this week on AEW Dynamite. Danielson, who was said to not be medically cleared as of last week, is expected to address AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and AEW Blood & Guts on Wednesday’s show.
Lee Johnson is expected to be out of action for the rest of the summer, as Fightful confirmed he’s been dealing with a knee injury. Finally, an AEW source said that they could “hopefully” get Darius Martin back in action by the end of 2022 but cannot guarantee it.
