Various News: Ric Flair Bookings, Flair and ROH Not Happening and More
– Ric Flair is being booked through Elaine Gillespie, who also represents Mick Foley and Roddy Piper. Flair is asking $15,000 for autograph appearances, well below what other names are charging. For example Hulk Hogan charges $75,000, Bill Goldberg charges $30,000, and Steve Austin charges $20,000 for such a signing. He has an offer of $50,000 to do a shoot interview, which most feel will be worth it as a recent Outsider’s Shoot interview grossed $50,000.
– Flair’s people had talks with ROH about him making an appearance on a big show, but the price wasn’t feasible for ROH. Flair has an appearance fee for coming in as well as a separate fee for doing autographs. On top of that, he also has a separate price for coming into the ring and cutting a promo.
– “Dark Angel” Sarah Stock broke her right arm in a match with Raven Hiroka on August 7th in Aguascalientes. She is expected to miss a few months. TNA had shown interest in her, but with the company building a relationship with CMLL, they were being politically correct and trying to work through the office, which slows things down.
