Various News: Tommy Dreamer Update, Legendary Referee Passes Away

November 8, 2010 | Posted by Larry Csonka

– Tommy Dreamer posted on his twitter last night, noting that his wrist was not broken, but that he will have to see a doctor, due to the bone sticking out. He also posted some pics of his wrist and other bumps and bruises.

– Legendary referee Joe Higuchi passed away yesterday at the age of 81, he had been battling cancer. Higuchi was the lead referee in All Japan from 1972 through 1990, and due to the fact that he spoke English, he was able to help the foreign talent get around and show them where to go and have a fun time. During the 1970s, Higuchi was widely regarded as the best referee in the business, working in Japan, and also in the US in big matches. On behalf of 411, I would like to extend my condolences to the family, friends and fans of Mr. Higuchi.
