Willow Nightingale Acknowledges Mina Shirakawa’s Efforts During 4-Way TBS Title Match on Dynamite; Teases Future Singles Bout

Willow Nightingale had a stiff challenge on her hands last night on Dynamite, as she defended the AEW TBS Championship in a four-way match against Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, and Mina Shirakawa.
Despite the odds stacked against her, Willow ensured she walked out as still the double champion, as she pinned Shirakawa with a rollup. Understandably, Nightingale is pretty proud of her efforts.
In exclusive footage shared by AEW’s X handle, Willow reflected on her monumental victory. She said,
“I did it. Walked in there, Mina, Marina, Megan, and I did what I had to do. Doesn’t matter that I was in Australia defending this championship just earlier this week. Doesn’t matter that any of those girls could have pinned anyone else and walked out as champ. Doesn’t matter that Harley wasn’t even here. I did my job as a double champ because that’s what it takes, not just as the TBS Champion but as the face of TBS.”
She was interrupted by Mina, who congratulated the former for retaining the championship.
“Willow, congratulations!”
In response, Willow Nightingale acknowledged Mina’s efforts and admitted that the latter almost had her. She was referring to the closing stages of the matches when Shirakawa almost locked in the Figure Four after nailing a Dropkick and a Spinning Backfist on the champion.
Nightingale then teased a one-on-one match between them for the TBS Title.
“Thank you so much, Mina. Listen, I was scared for a second. You really almost had me. But listen, maybe next time we could see if we could do it one-on-one; really put it to the test. Good job out there!” she said.
