Winfree’s WWE Smackdown Review 2.27.26
Hey there people, it’s Friday so it’s time for WWE Smackdown. This is the go home show for Elimination Chamber so the last chance for shenanigans. The big draw tonight is another women’s tag team title match, Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky defend again against Nia Jax and Lash Legend. The last match between these two ended in a big brawl but something more definitive is likely for tonight. Uncle Howdy and Solo Sikoa will go at it, Howdy promised to leave his family in the back while encouraging Solo to leave behind his Mediocrity First Tradition. It’s unlikely we get a clean match but Tama Tonga has been getting a bit of a singles push while Solo’s whole thing at this point should be how much he struggles on his own. We’ve got Jordynne Grace vs. Candice LeRae, likely with depressed Johnny Gargano laying across the announce desk. Also Miz will get squashed by Oba Femi, which should be fun. US champion Carmelo Hayes has gone a few weeks without an open challenge so that might return tonight. WWE champion Drew McIntyre likely pissed off Nick Aldis last week with his constant flaunting of direction, so expect Drew vs. Jacob Fatu to be made for the Chamber event tonight. Speaking of the Chamber, all the male participants will be there tonight so our group of 5 faces (Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, LA Knight, Je’Von Evans, and Jey Uso) will look at the lone heel Trick Williams. Sami Zayn is still looking for direction apart from just being sad that he’s a loser, Shinsuke Nakamura is still trying to coax Tama Tonga out on his own, Michin and B-Fab are back to likely lose to Jade Cargill again. These go home shows always get graded on a curve, so let’s see if this one delivers or if it’s going to need that particular bit of help in the final rating.
We open with chaos, Jey Uso is being loaded into an ambulance while Jacob Fatu yells at Nick Aldis to find out how attacked Jey. Given that Aldis still hasn’t figured out who attacked Fatu weeks ago that seems unlikely to bear fruit. Cody Rhodes and Aldis talk then Trick Williams comes over for no real reason. Je’Von Evans objects to Trick’s attitude and Aldis tries to calm things. Back to the ring WWE champion Drew McIntyre walks to the ring through the crowd and denies doing anything to Jey. Drew whines his way into the ring and Aldis shows up to tell Drew that he’s tried to play nice with him, and now the whole locker room wants to tear Drew apart and he’s tempted to let them do it. Cody shows up with a mic and yells at Drew as Drew powders through the crowd, Cody wants to fight while Drew of course declines. Drew says he’ll leave, like he said he would. Cody insults Drew’s title reign as being spent running, he’s about to keep going but Randy Orton comes out with his own mic and now I’m sad we’re in an revolving door segment. Randy says he feels bad for Jey, but his concern is winning tomorrow and whipping Drew’s ass at WrestleMania. Before Randy can continue here’s Trick, who’s music is as over as ever. Trick has a mic as well and says he hates to interrupt but he’s the hottest thing in the business and puts himself over. As for tonight he sees Cody and Randy, and he would like to add some flavor, he’s cut off by Je’Von Evans. Evans smacks Trick on the back of the head on his way to the ring, then he wants to talk crazy. He’s got history with Trick, but he’s hear to beat Randy’s record for youngest champion. To complete the grouping here’s LA Knight to a monster pop. Knight wants to talk to us and saye he hears big talk but at the end of the day in 24 hours at the Chamber everyone here belongs to Knight. And Drew, you mushed mouth moron, that title belongs to him, but Trick interrupts Knight’s catchphrase. Knight uses “whoop that Trick” to set up an attack on Trick. Trick and Knight brawl on the floor, man Trick’s punches looked like ass in that segment. Cody, Evans, and Randy, hang out then Randy drops poor Evans with an RKO so he and Cody can stare down again. . . like they’ve been doing for 2 years at this point. Decent starting energy but once it became clear what we were getting here it lost a lot of momentum.
In the back Cathy says Jey’s spot in the Chamber is in question, because 5 faces is a bad ratio. Tiffany Stratton is here with Cathy, she says every woman knows better than to just attack her during Mania season. That gets Asuka and Kairi Sane to show up, Asuka and Tiffany trade some barbs then Kairi asks if Tiffany is a jelly fish because her outfit has hanging tassels. OK, decent comedy from Kairi there.
Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett finally get some time to talk and now we get the usual shots of wrestlers arriving.
Solo Sikoa heads to the ring by his lonesome, he’s got the lantern of course and we head to break.
Post break Solo is hanging out in the ring and we get a recap of stuff from last week in case you’ve missed these groups feuding for the last several months. Uncle Howdy does get his entrance and he’s by himself.
Match #1: Solo Sikoa vs. Uncle Howdy
Both men circle, Solo points at the lantern but the crowd doesn’t care much. Eventually they tie up and Solo gets pushed into a corner but Howdy does give a clean break. Another tie up, Solo grabs a side headlock then hits a shoulder block but Howdy wont go down. Now they trade punches then Solo goes to kicks and headbutts. Howdy hits the ropes and drops Solo. Solo avoids Sister Abigail and powders but Howdy follows him. Solo tries a Samoan Spike but Howdy dodges and Solo hits the ring post so Howdy rams his hand into the post repeatedly. Howdy then clotheslines Solo into the time keeper’s area and looks at the lantern. Some more ringside brawling, Howdy keeps ramming the hand of Solo into things and I can’t wait for Solo stop selling. They head back into the ring and Howdy gets cut off by an elbow then Solo rams him face first into the second buckle to send us picture in picture.
Some more ringside brawling and stalling from Solo, he knows they need a reaction after all the time that’s been put into this but he’s not getting it. Solo shakes out his hand a few times as they wander back into the ring, he goes with headbutts instead of punches for the moment at least. Nerve hold from Solo, that goes on for a while. In fact it’s still going on as we rejoin the broadcast. Howdy fights free but runs into a Samoan Drop. Solo goes back to the nerve hold because the crowd isn’t dead enough for him I guess. Howdy fights free by yanking on the thumb and hand then he starts landing punches. Corner clotheslines from Howdy but he runs into a Spinning Solo. Solo avoids a Sister Abigail but Howdy grabs a Mandible Claw, Solo with a Samoan Spike to break it but he can’t follow up with strikes and instead lays in a couple of hip attacks. Howdy intercepts a third hip attack with Sister Abigail for the 3 count.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Uncle Howdy won in 11:06 ish (stopwatch issues)
Rating: 2 stars
Thoughts: For all the work they’ve put into this feud it being this tepid in terms of atmosphere was a giant let down. Solo’s control work is still pretty poor and Howdy isn’t enough of an actual wrestling presence to inspire the crowd at the moment. Solo losing is the right call at least.
Post match Howdy grabs the lantern but gets attacked by the other island goons through the crowd then they take the lantern back. No real heat for that.
In the back Aldis talks with Drew, he tells him to stay out of trouble tomorrow. Drew tries to play nice then walks by the walking wounded that is the Vision these days. Aldis talks with Paul Heyman, and Heyman says he wants to help Aldis out of his problem, Jey wont be in the Chamber tomorrow and now Heyman is looking to offer Logan Paul to the Chamber. Logan promises he’ll win the Chamber and puts himself over. Aldis talks about how convenient this is, Austin Theory tries to talk but Heyman saves him and us from any of his verbiage. Heyman again says they’re just trying to help, and Aldis admits it’s an interesting offer but there are politics so he’ll make a few calls. Aldis leaves and Heyman asks if Logan will win tomorrow, Logan say he will and they all walk off while we head to break.
Post break we get a hype video for Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky vs. the irresistible forces of Nia Jax and Lash Legend.
In the back Cathy talks with Rhiyo and they say they’re focused on tonight, then tomorrow Iyo is sure Ripley will win the Chamber. Jade Cargill wanders over and hopes no one gets hurt tonight. Well that was random.
Elsewhere in the back Aldis finishes a phone call and talks with Jacob Fatu. Fatu wants to blame Drew for all this stuff, and he says they’ve both got issues with Drew and his solution is to be put in the Chamber. Aldis says he’ll have an answer soon.
Back to the ring and here’s Tiffany Stratton for a match. After this break she’ll take on Asuka.
Post break we find Chelsea Green with her broken foot and Alba Fyre have come down ringside, Green will be on commentary I guess so that’ll be. . . something. Asuka now heads to the ring with Sane in tow. Asuka talks to the ring and says she’s smart so instead of fighting Tiffany tonight she’s sending Sane in her place. Predictable but not bad.
Match #2: Tiffany Stratton vs. Kairi Sane w/ Asuka
Sane with a quick Thesz Press then Tiffany powders but elbows Sane down trying a baseball slide. Back in the ring Tiffany with a springboard senton. Some evasive moves from both women, mostly Tiffany, then she trips Sane into the ropes and hits a hip attack. Sane powders but Tiffany then hits a plancha. Asuka distracts Tiffany so Sane can hit a Uraken then ram Tiffany into a ring post as we head to break.
We come back to Tiffany laying in elbows and firing up with a handspring back elbow. Cartwheel Alabama Slam from Tiffany gets 2. Finlay Roll from Tiffany then Sane interrupts a Prettiest Moonsault Ever, ties up Tiffany in a tree of woe then climbs up with her. Tiffany and Sane trade blows then Sane hits a hanging double stomp for a 2 count. Corner sliding elbow from Sane then she climbs up top but misses a flying nothing then Tiffany hits a low dropkick after Sane avoided an Alabama Slam. Sane with an ax kick through the ropes then they head to the apron, they fight over a spot and Sane was trying to counter a suplex into a DDT but wound up basically taking a Gordbuster to the floor. Super awkward. They head back into the ring to just keep going, Sane heads up top and lands a diving forearm to Tiffany. Now Sane goes up top again, Tiffany just shoves Sane off the top rope and onto Fyre. Bless Fyre for that catch. Tiffany and Green yell at each other then Tiffany avoids a leaping attack from Sane who rams into Green. Back in the ring Tiffany with the Finlay Roll into Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the win.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Tiffany Stratton won in 10:21
Rating: 2.5 stars
Thoughts: A bit overbooked for my tastes and there were a couple of dodgy spots. But Sane, bless her, knows the assignment.
Post match Tiffany celebrates.
In the back Heyman and company talk with Aldis. Aldis does have news, he’s talked with Adam Pearce and they’ve made Logan vs. Fatu for tonight with the winner going into the Chamber. Heyman isn’t happy but Logan can beat the Samoan Werewolf tonight. Aldis wishes him luck and they take at least half a beat too long to leave.
Back to the ring and here’s Miz for his squash appearance, Oba Femi will kill him after this break.
Post break we get confirmation of Fatu vs. Logan.
In the ring Miz waits and here comes Oba Femi.
Match #3: Miz vs. Oba Femi
Miz bails right away and gets a mic, he says they don’t have to fight while getting in the ring. Oba takes his mic and tells him to get his own mic. Miz does and says no one wants this match, and this is a classic misunderstanding. But let’s use this as a teaching moment. 20 years ago Miz was in WWE’s developmental system, and he wants to be the type of leader that inspires the next guys. He wants be Femi’s Undertaker. Femi says there’s no resemblance but Miz does look like a dead man. Miz tries to appeal to Femi again, he wants to help Femi both inside the ring and outside it. With Miz’s help people will forever chant for Femi. The crowd oblige with an “Oba” chant. Femi says they’re already chanting his name so he doesn’t need Miz, but he’ll humor Miz a bit and now asks the crowd if he should join with Miz. The crowd does not like that idea so Femi tells Miz he’s dying tonight. Miz tries to walk away but Femi stops him, so Miz throws a punch which just amuses Femi. Clothesline from Femi, Miz looks to fight back and goes up top but jumps into a body blow. Corner uppercuts from Femi, but Miz avoids one then tries the Skull Crushing Finale but Femi overpowers him and just throws him across the ring. Femi with the Fall From Grace to win.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Oba Femi won in 4:52
Rating: Butternut SQUASH
Thoughts: Delicious squash, and once again exactly what it needed to be.
In the back Carmelo Hayes walks and finds a suited Ilja Dragunov, Ilja can’t justify a title shot right now and says he’ll come for the title when the time is right. Then he hypes up Hayes a bit, Hayes says he doesn’t need a pep talk but Ilja might need one. Hayes warns him that nothing is forever and if Ilja doesn’t take the shot someone else will.
Hayes heads to the ring after that for an open challenge after this break.
We come back to Hayes waiting for his challenger. Answering the open challenge this week is Matt Cardona. That’s certainly a choice.
Match #4 – US Title Match: (c) Carmelo Hayes vs. Matt Cardona
They circle then give a little hand slap before tying up. Cardona tries a quick School Boy for 2. Hayes with a snapmare then a Crucifix for 2 and we get another stand off between the two men. Cardona hits the ropes and lands a shoulder block then hits the ropes but Hayes lands a kick then runs into a dropkick. Side headlock from Cardona and he then hits the ropes, Hayes with a leap frog then a dropkick but Cardona avoids a second dropkick then lands a boot. Neckbreaker from Cardona gets a 2 count. They head to the apron and Hayes elbows Cardona to the floor then jumps at him but Cardona dodges and Hayes then bounces himself over the announce table to send us picture in picture.
Cardona wanders around for a bit then pulls Hayes up for a Russian leg sweep into the barricade. They head back into the ring and Cardona goes after the ribs of Hayes with knees. Hayes with a chop but then he runs into a Flapjack. Some corner work from Cardona, he keeps going after the ribs of Hayes then hits a hangman’s neckbreaker for a 2 count. Cardona is still in control as we rejoin the broadcast. Running corner boot from Cardona then a catapult into the second rope for a 2 count. Cardona drapes Hayes over the top rope then knees him to the floor and follows with a diving dropkick. Back in the ring Cardona gets tied up between the ropes and Hayes hits the fade away springboard leg drop and both men are down. Hayes starts to fire up and hits the springboard clothesline to floor Cardona. Cardona with a boot but Hayes then bounces off the ropes with La Mistica for a 2 count. Cardona hits a Tiger Driver for a 2 count. Hayes avoids a corner boot and hits a back body drop, then Hayes climbs up top, Cardona shows up and climbs with him. Cardona wants an avalanche hurricanrana and hits it, really nice, but Hayes avoids a Rough Rider then lands a superkick and falls into a cover for 2. Again Hayes goes up top but takes a bit of time doing it so Cardona avoids Nothing But Net then hits a Rough Rider for a near fall. Cardona can’t believe that, then tries an Unprettier and they trade pins before Hayes finds a First 48 for the 3 count.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Carmelo Hayes retained the title in 11:50
Rating: 3 stars
Thoughts: They gave Cardona a good avenue of attack with the ribs and that kind of grounding helped Hayes not get too self indulgent. There wasn’t much chance for Cardona to actually win and that’s the big knock on this, the action was good but the drama was a bit lacking.
Post match Hayes shows respect to Cardona which Cardona returns.
Elsewhere in the back the midcard talk around the big box. R-Truth puts over ESPN’s app to see what’s in it tomorrow. Truth again does the ESPN commercial bit. Bless Truth for making this kind of crap at least vaguely entertaining. Candice wheels the depressed Johnny Gargano by on an equipment crate. Kit Wilson comes over to get mad at them for laughing at Johnny, everyone just laughs at Wilson.
Back to the ring here’s Candice LeRae, Johnny is at least upright and trudging his way along with Candice to the ring. Candice will take on Jordynne Grace after this break, and Johnny’s half roll onto the apron to then just flop down depressed made me laugh so good on him.
Post break Johnny is indeed flopped out on the announce table as Jordynne Grace heads to the ring.
Match #5: Jordynne Grace vs. Candice LeRae w/ Johnny Gargano
Quick spinebuster from Grace then wrist control clotheslines to just no reaction. Candice is able to run Grace into the corner then hits an enziguri and senton for a 1 count. Chin lock from Candice, a few people in the crowd try to get something going with minimal results. Grace and Candice trade pin attempts for a bit now before Candice hits a Codebreaker. Candice goes up top, Grace with an uppercut though then climbs up with her then hits a stalling superplex in a decent little spot. Grace holds on and rolls through into a Jackhammer for a 2 count. Candice with a boot off the ropes but Johnny sits up on the table, he slowly wanders towards the entrance ramp while Candice talks to him. Grace with a bridging pumphandle German for the win, that woman needs to pick a finisher and stick with it.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Jordynne Grace won in 3:47
Rating: 1.5 stars
Thoughts: This wasn’t very good, no crowd reaction and such an odd layout with Candice getting that much offense in. Depressed Johnny largely keeps this from being a DUD.
In the back Cathy talks with Raquel Rodriguez, she puts herself over but here’s Jade to remind us she exists. Jade warns that if Raquel wins in the Chamber she’ll just embarrass her at Mania. Raquel leaves then Michin and B-Fab wander over. Everyone trades some threats then B-Fab talks Michin down. OK then.
The women’s tag team titles will be up for grabs after this break.
Post break we get a recap of the AJ Styles tribute from RAW in case you missed it.
In the back Jacob Fatu warms up, Cody comes over to say he hopes it’s Fatu in the Chamber. Cody turns and we see Sami Zayn. Sami and Cody shake hands and Cody heads out then Sami moves over to Fatu. Sami asks how Jey is, Fatu says it doesn’t look too good for him. Next Sami says he knows he didn’t do it, but he’s not sure he can say the same about Fatu. That pisses Fatu off and Sami tries to make his case that Fatu has done anything to get his hands on Drew. Fatu tells Sami to be careful what he says next, Sami asks “or what?” Sami then says a lot of people want to get their hands on Drew and says he lost too. Now Fatu hypes up and says Drew tried to help Sami in their match so he can stop talking about getting screwed when Drew was trying to help him. And if anyone should be pointing fingers then maybe Fatu should start looking at Sami more closely. Sami says Fatu’s right and apologizes, he says his head’s been all messed up lately and tells Fatu to go win for Jey. After Fatu leaves Sami throws a table over and looks unnerved.
To the ring and Nia Jax and Lash Legend have tag team music, anything’s an improvement over Legend’s entrance theme which was absolutely terrible. Legend and Jax head to the ring and are followed by Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley. Oh we get special in ring introductions too.
Match #6 – Women’s Tag Team Title Match: (c) Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky vs. Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax and Lash Legend)
Iyo and Legend start, Iyo with some evasive acrobatics early then a dropkick. Ripley tags in and trips Legend then drops Iyo onto her for a 1 count. Right hand from Legend then Jax tags in. Ripley with a back elbow to Jax then a tag and Iyo with a low dropkick. Legend gets dropkicked out of the ring and the heels line up nicely for a double baseball slide, then both Legend and Jax catch jumping Iyo and Ripley before swinging them into the barricade a few times to send us to break.
We come back to Legend working over Iyo. Iyo fights out of an arm lock but runs into a pump kick for a 2 count. Some more control from Legend, which she is still not very good at. Iyo knocks Jax off the apron then lands a buzzsaw kick to Legend and both women are down. Both women tag out and Ripley gets to run wild on Jax with kicks and chops. Hurricanrana from Ripley then she kicks Legend in the head. Ripley up top and hits a lovely missile dropkick on Jax for a 2 count. Legend yanks Iyo off the apron then they botch running Legend into the ring steps so Legend has to just wander into them herself. Jax with a Samoan Drop to Ripley then she tries the Annihilator but Ripley stalls that then superkicks her and follows with a powerbomb for a near fall. Shining Wizard from Ripley and Jax rolls to the floor then Ripley follows her with a cannonball senton. That sends us to break again.
We come back to Jax and Ripley in the ring, Jax blocking a few tag attempts then she headbutts Ripley down and cheap shots Iyo. Jax tosses Ripley out of the ring then tags Legend. Legend rams Ripley into the ring post then sends her to Jax for a Samoan Drop onto the announce table. Back in the ring Legend with a running Splash after some awkward positioning. Legend just doesn’t have the connective tissue down at all. Chokeslam from Legend then she tags in Jax, Jax heads up top for a second rope leg drop and Iyo breaks up the pin. Legend attacks Iyo, and they both tumble to the floor. Jax posts herself charging at Ripley and both women are down. Legend with a tag, and Iyo gets a hot tag as well. Iyo with palm strikes then a roll through double stomp. Dropkick to Jax a leaping DDT to Jax, sort of as that got awkward. Iyo through the ropes and then kicks Legend in the head, Iyo up top for a dropkick and a kip up. Iyo with a suicide dive onto Jax, then back in the ring she hits a Bullet Train on Legend. Next Iyo goes up top, Over The Moonsault connects but Jax saves the match. Jax tries an Annihilator and connects on Iyo but Ripley yanks Legend out of the cover and superkicks her on the floor. Ripley is still selling her back but she misdirects Jax into falling out of the ring. Tag to Ripley who hits a leaping kick to Legend. Jax shows up and Ripley headbutts her then hits a Riptide but Legend then hits Ripley with the Lash Extension to win.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Irresistible Forces won the titles in 18:15
Rating: 3 stars
Thoughts: It was about time for Ripley and Iyo to drop the belts and these two might normally not be good but Legend needs seasoning and this will facilitate that growth. Legend desperately needs connective tissue to her work though, because spamming the same taunt isn’t a real substitute for compelling work. And if this keeps Jax out of the title picture for longer I’m all for it.
In the back Charlotte Flair does the depressed ice cream eating, Alexa Bliss comes over to talk with her. Charlotte insists she’s fine. Kiana James and Giulia come over and James makes fun of them. Giulia insists she’s passionate. They still plan on taking all the gold while Bliss can just have Charlotte’s ice cream. Charlotte objects to that, it’s her ice cream. Jade comes over to remind us that she exists and everyone keeps trading barbs.
Elsewhere in the back Solo and company find Aldis. Solo complains, then Aldis says all he saw was Solo lose and the tag team belts have been stale and inactive long enough. Next week they’ll figure out some new challengers for those belts. Solo insists they’ll beat whoever it is. That sends us to break with our main event on deck.
Post break we get a recap of what just happened in case you missed it. In the back Cathy talks with the new champions, Jax puts herself over and dares anyone to take the belts from them. Legend says this is just the first of many for her and they’ll celebrate next week. I’m sure that’ll just be compelling TV next week.
We get a CM Punk hype video about Chicago and the Chamber being there.
In the back Randy walks and finds Aleister Black and Zelina. Black wonders if his Black Mass woke up something in Randy after last week. Randy just laughs and says no one knows what’s going on his head. He says he’ll find Black after the Chamber. Black says they planned it that way. Well that settles Randy not winning tomorrow then.
Back to the ring and here’s Logan Paul with the sad remnants of The Vision. Seriously, that whole original group is out injured and we’re stuck with Logan and the umpteenth attempt to get Theory over now. Anyway our main event will be up after this break, allegedly.
Post break we get some time updates on WrestleMania this year, the first hour of night 1 will be free on ESPN2 then the first hour of night 2 will be free on ESPN. If you care.
Back to the ring here’s Jacob Fatu.
Match #7: Jacob Fatu vs. Logan Paul w/ Paul Heyman and Austin Theory
Theory distracts Fatu right away so Logan can start on offense. Corner work from Logan, then Fatu gets annoyed with him and lands clotheslines and a senton. Corner avalanche from Fatu then he goes for a 10 headbutt and gets all of them. Running back elbow from Fatu levels Logan. Some strikes from Fatu then another corner avalanche. Fatu clotheslines Logan out of the ring then follows up with a suicide dive to send us picture in picture.
Fatu bounces Logan into the ring steps a few times, eventually Logan fights back and returns the favor though. Fatu turns the tables and runs Logan into the barricade then tries a hip attack but Theory pulls Logan away so Fatu just hits the barricade. Logan runs Fatu into the ring post then looks for a count out win. Theory with some cheap shots on the floor before Logan and Fatu wind up back in the ring. Fatu rams Logan into a corner but Logan then boots him down on a charge as we come back to broadcast. Gutwrench suplex from Logan gets a 2 count. Fatu with some rights but then he misses a Stinger Splash and Logan connects with a Zig Zag for a 2 count. Logan now heads up top but misses a Frog Splash and Fatu lands a superkick then a handspring standing moonsault for a 2 count of his own. Now it’s Fatu heading up top, Logan attacks him with elbows though then climbs up with him. Logan wants a superplex, Fatu pretty easily fights that off and headbutts him down. Fatu tries a Swanton Bomb but Logan gets the knees up then a Blockbuster and a Lionsault for a 2 count. Logan wants the Paulvizer but Fatu flips free and lands a superkick then a hip attack. Theory eats a superkick, Heyman gets on the apron too and Fatu grabs him. That does allow Logan to hit a low blow behind the refs back than land a big punch. Logan up top, Frog Splash but only a near fall again. Great near fall from Fatu there. Masked goon shows up to Stomp Theory but Paul knocks him out on the floor and unmasks a nobody. Seriously, no one knows who that guy is. Back in the ring Fatu with the pop up Samoan Drop then a Mighty Moonsault but Drew clocks Fatu with the belt and Logan rolls up Fatu to win.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Logan Paul won in 11:20
Rating: 3 stars
Thoughts: Some nice drama there and Fatu still has the crowd connected with him, though more losses are starting to jeopardize that. Drew being the guy who makes everything worse is becoming old at this point, and not in the good kind of heat way. That said Fatu wasn’t winning this, the Chamber needed another heel and Logan fits the bill.
Post match Logan is hyped and Drew scoots out through the crowd as the show ends.
