WWE Announces Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley For 6/5 SmackDown, Two Matches Added

WWE has announced several matches and appearances for this week’s SmackDown live from Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy. The show will feature appearances by Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.

Rhodes is scheduled for the June 5 episode following his controversial win over Gunther at Clash in Italy. Ripley is also advertised for the show, giving fans another chance to hear from one of WWE’s top champions.

The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will continue as both brackets move into the next stage of competition. A first-round King of the Ring four-way match will see Damian Priest take on Trick Williams, Dominik Mysterio, and Bron Breakker.

The Queen of the Ring tournament will also feature a first-round four-way bout. Bayley, Jacy Jayne, Kiana James, and Raquel Rodriguez are set to battle for a spot in the next round.

WWE has also added a singles match between Ricky Saints and Carmelo Hayes. The matchup gives both stars an opportunity to build momentum on a show already packed with tournament action.

With two championship-level appearances and key King and Queen of the Ring matches on deck, Friday’s SmackDown is set to advance several major storylines at once.
