Tonight’s WWE Survivor Series will witness the return of WarGames, with separate men’s and women’s WarGames matchups. However, according to a report by WrestleVotes, WWE is dealing with issues of “creative contention” for the men’s WarGames bout.
The Men’s WarGames Match features World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso), and Roman Reigns teaming up against The Vision (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed), Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar.
WrestleVotes reports that the creative issues stem from the entrance order for the aforementioned match. Due to the amount of star power in play for the bout, several scenarios were reportedly mapped out for the WarGames match. It’s also said there are differing opinions over how the matchup should play out.
As previously reported, the WarGames match is also expected to feature a major tease for the main match, or possibly matches, at WrestleMania 42 next year in Las Vegas. It’s rumored that the original planned main event was Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns, but Rollins has been sidelined due to a shoulder injury.
WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 takes place later tonight at Petco Park in San Diego, California. The WWE premium live event will air live on the ESPN App in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
Sources indicate there is some creative contention over the entrance order for tonight’s men’s WarGames match. With the amount of star power in play, several scenarios were mapped out, and there are differing opinions.
