WWE Reportedly Wanted To Bring Sarray Back to the Company

As reported earlier today, Sukeban announced that they have signed Sareee, formerly known as Sarray in WWE, to a multi-year contract. Fightful Select reports that before she made the decision to sign with Sukeban, WWE was apparently interested in bringing her back to the company. Several people in WWE had started working on possibly making that happen, but it won’t happen now that she’s signed elsewhere.

WWE sources said they didn’t make an offer yet, but didn’t think Sareee wanted to move to the US.

A source added that there’s no “ill will” on their end. They didn’t think she’d sign, she wasn’t contacted and there were no creative plans in place. The discussion backstage was only “preliminary” as her name was mentioned and she was well-liked during her last run. They noted that this deal with Sukeban is likely better for her.
