Yoja Tsuji earns an opportunity to regain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

Tsuji will challenge Callum Newman for the prized title in the main event of Dominion on June 14, 2026.

On May 6, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) presented the New Japan Road- Ignition to Dominion event. Headlining the show was a high-stakes tag team match, pitting Shingo Takagi and Yota Tsuji against Callum Newman and Jake Lee.

According to the pre-match stipulation, Tsuji or Takagi had to pin Newman to earn a shot at his championship at NJPW Dominion. Had they lost, they would have never been able to challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Title.

The closing moments of the match saw Newman’s attempt to low blow Takagi behind the referee’s back backfire, as Takagi gave him a taste of his own medicine.

Takagi shifted his focus toward Lee, paving the way for Yota Tsuji to nail Newman with the ‘Gene Blast’ Spear and secure a pinfall victory and a shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Title.

Tsuji lost the title to Newman at Sakura Genesis last month.
