411’s WWE Talking Smack Report: 01/31/16

-On the heels of The Royal Rumble we have our weekly Talking Smack as the blue brand is building towards The Elimination Chamber. The big news is that The Miz, Ambrose, Corbin, Styles and Wyatt will be inside the Chamber with Cena for his WWE Title.

-Renee Young, looking fantastic, is our host as always and back this week is SmackDown GM is Daniel Bryan. Shane was fine as a fill in, but having Daniel back is wonderful news.

-Renee jumps right into the Royal Rumble and covers the big night for SmackDown as Orton won the Rumble and Cena won his 16th World Title. They discuss Cena tying Ric Flair’s record and Bryan puts over Cena’s run as it is longer than Hogan, Austin, Rock. He also mentions Flair would have short reigns and then win the title back a month later while Cena has controlled things for over a decade. Funny he says that as if the rumors are true Cena is basically a transition champ at this point. Daniel puts over AJ/Cena at the Rumble and how they were the only SD match on the main show and they stole the show.

-Daniel has some beef that only 11 guys from SmackDown were in The Rumble and that the SD Tag Titles weren’t defended on the show.

-Speaking of the Tag Titles, America Alpha is out as the first guests of the evening. AA also has an issue not being on the Rumble card. They were disappointed that they weren’t on the card, but were happy to see SmackDown steal the show. That is why they threw out the open challenge tonight as they have only defended their titles once in the last month.

-Daniel says he spoke with Shane and is announcing a Tag Team Turmoil Title Match with all the teams that were out there tonight for Elimination Chamber. AA is thrilled with the news and are so confident they hope they are the first team in the match. That is one way to fill out the card as this PPV is going to test the rosters depth with the Top 6 in the Chamber.

-AA is out and that gives Renee and Daniel a chance to talk about the Elimination Chamber match. Daniel was impressed the most with Baron Corbin tonight and puts over his performance at the Rumble and how he was the one to eliminate BRAUN. He isn’t thrilled with all the interference with the Main Event tonight though. Daniel makes his pick for The Chamber and he is taking Baron Corbin to win.

-Naomi joins the set next and Renee mentions that she has been on fire since coming back. She now holds 2 pin fall wins over SmackDown Woman’s Champion, Alexa Bliss. Naomi is back to having fun and truly enjoying what she has been doing. For her the third time will be the charm and she is going to win the SD Woman’s Title. She puts over the division on SD and says the division is the best it has ever been. She wants everyone to understand who she is and wants people to feel her energy.

-Daniel is handing out more chances and tells Naomi that she will get her title match at Elimination Chamber. Naomi is thrilled and says her dream has always been to be a champion at WrestleMania in her hometown and she has that chance this year now. She says the majority of her family has never seen her perform. Daniel asks her if she is the champ at Mania will she be able to dance the entire way down that long aisle and she says no problem. Naomi leaves as she says she has to call her mom, husband, and grandma to let them know she has the title shot.

-They announce that next week John Cena is going 1 on 1 with Randy Orton so there goes any fear that they will be doing that match at Mania. Renee says it is the first time these two have ever met on SmackDown which sounds weird, but could be true.

-Randy Orton is our final guest and he is very low key as he talks about his Rumble win. Renee asks who he wants to see win the Chamber or who he thinks will win and Orton mentions Cena. He says no matter if the fans know it, they want to see him and Cena again. Judging by online reaction no they don’t. Heck, I was there for their Rumble match in Pittsburgh that was hijacked by the crowd and that could happen again if that match happened at Mania.

-Daniel brings up the history as the Orton was in the WWE Title Match the last time Mania was in Orlando and he walked out as champion in a Triple Threat that included Cena and HHH. This isn’t Orton’s first go round and he is confident. He hypes the match with Cena for next week and says that Cena can do one thing….run.

-Daniel says Randy Orton is bad ass right now which draws a laugh from Renee. That wraps things up this week though Daniel gets in one last plug for TOUT.

-Nothing blow away here but they keep things moving towards Elimination Chamber as we have 3 matches announced for the card. The crazy thing is those 3 matches include 20 members of the SD roster, so again their depth is going to be tested or Chamber match is going to get an hour.
