Identity of Matanza in Lucha Underground

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jeff Cobb is playing the role of the masked monster, Matanza. In Lucha Underground, Matanza is the brother of owner Dario Cueto. Cobb was an Olympic wrestler for Guam and started wrestling in 2009.

During last weekend’s tapings, Cobb was injured during a match. The good news is that the MRI showed no torn ligaments, just a high-grade stream of the MCL with a partial tear. He is expected to be fine with some physical therapy.
