Triple H Talks NXT, Sting On RAW And More
Triple H is the latest guest for Michael Cole’s weekly WWE.com interview, in which he talks about NXT, Sting and more. Here are highlights:
– When asked if he ever thought that the success of NXT in the past year was possible, he said that “you shoot for the stars” with these things and his goal was to create another brand for WWE. He said he was hesitant to run Takeover Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. He said that whenever he thinks NXT is as big as it will get, it keeps growing. He added that Takeover London is almost sold out.
– He put over NXT’s presence on the main roster and said wrestlers like Neville and Kevin Owens are changing the feel of WWE. He said the Divas Revolution started in NXT and he’s proud of where the main roster is at because of NXT.
– Triple H said he never thought that Sting would ever wrestle on RAW a few years ago but he’s glad it happened. While he doesn’t “see eye-to-eye” with Sting, he’s one of the biggest names in wrestling history. He said it will be a feather in the cap of Seth Rollins if he can beat John Cena and Sting in the same night and prove he’s the man in WWE.
