WWE News: Athena Signs With WWE, Possible Copyright Issue for New Day Song, and More

– Indie wrestler Athena re-posted a story on her Facebook page confirmed that she has signed a developmental deal with WWE. Athena (real name Adrienne Reese) was trained by Booker T and Skandor Akbar.
– It appears there could be a copyright issue with New Day singing the group’s version of “Empire State of Mind.” Videos of New Day singing the song have been pulled from WWE’s YouTube channel. Clips of them singing the song have also been edited from the SummerSlam event replay and the WWE Network.
– CBS Sports released a video of Holy Cross coaches Steve Cully and Alex Bresner pumping up the team with a post-practice WWE-style match for the team. You can check out the video below.
