WWC Presents: Septiembre Negro on September 25th, 2010

Attendance: Around 2,000 fans. A true disappointment considering this was THE match everyone was waiting for.

WWC Junior Heavyweight Title: 4-Way Match
Ricochet defeats “The Man-Beast” Angel, El Niche & Lynx by pinfall. Order of elimination is as follows: Niche d. Lynx (they are partners…could this lead to a split?), Ricochet d. Niche and finally Ricochet eliminates Angel.

– Chris Joel defeats El Comandante is an extended squash. Squash matches on big events make no sense. Pretty poor match too.

– Black Rose defeats La Morena by pinfall in a ladies bout. This was supposed to be Debbie Ross defending the belt against Black Rose, but she did compete due to illness.

WWC Caribbean Title: Battle Royal
Saito (some dude from All-Japan) defeats Fidel Sierra, Joe Don Smith, Chris Joel, Los Adorables, Dave D’Jour, Hiram Tua, Abbad and Black Pain to win the vacant title. Final two where Saito and Tua and Saito won with a big kick that sent Tua over the top.

WWC Tag Team Titles:
Urban Zone (Chicano & BJ) defeat Thunder & Lightning by pinfall to win the belts. Chicano rips off Lightning’s mask and as Lightning tried to cover his face BJ got him in a schoolboy for the win.

WWC Universal Title #1 Contender:
“The Precious One” Gilbert vs “The Golden Latino” Joe Bravo went to Double DQ. Heel vs heel matches suck and this was no different. Poor match and poor finish. Bravo had jumped from IWA earlier in the week. Bryan made his comeback by appearing briefly before the bout. He had been out injured.

The Dream Match:
Carlito defeats “The Triple Mega Champion” (aka: Ricky Banderas, aka: El Mesias) by pinfall after many false finishes and a coliseum-wide brawl. Excellent bout, match of the year thus far. After the bout El Mesias destroys Carlito and tells the fans that this war is far from over.

WWC Puerto Rican Title: Steel Cage Match
“The Sensational” Carlitos defeats Orlando Colon to win the WWC Puerto Rican Title. Excellent match as well, Carlitos was busted open and dominated for the first ten minutes of the bout before making his huge comeback. Too bad most of the fans left after the Carlito/Mesias bout, mainly because it took WWC’s people almost 30 minutes to set up the cage.
