Gabriel Luna Cast in Terminator Role for Tim Miller’s New Film

Deadline.com reports that actor Gabriel Luna has been cast in the upcoming sixth Terminator film for director Tim Miller. Luna is likely best known to fans for his work as Robbie Reyes, aka the Ghost Rider, for Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD TV series.

Luna joins the cast alongside Natalia Reyes, Diego Boneta, Mackenzie Davis, and the returning Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton. The new film is set to start production later this year.

The film is supposed to be the start of a new trilogy after Terminator Genisys failed to do so. It will ignore the previous failed Terminator follow-ups, including Terminator 3, Terminator Salvation, and Terminator Genisys.

James Cameron is attached to the new film as a producer along with David Ellison of Skydance. The film is written by Billy Ray, with a story conceived by Cameron, Miller and Ellison.

The film is scheduled for a November 22, 2019 release from Paramount pictures.
