– Alicia Atout spoke with Fightful for a new interview discussing her move to MLW to work as a backstage interviewer. You can see highlights per the site as well as the full video below:

On signing a deal to join MLW: “They pretty much reached out to me, saying “Hey, we like what you do. We’d like to have you onboard.” After a bit of discussion it seemed like a great fit. I already love the locker room. I have so many friends there. Management seemed to be absolutely wonderful. Everyone’s hard working. So, I’m excited to be the newest member of the family.”

On the adjustment to working for MLW: “So typically they have a day where they’ll tape usually its four weeks worth of things in one day and then a pre-tape day. Which is totally different. It’s a new format that I’m not used to, I think it’s kinda cool. ‘Cause you can kind take things easy. It’s not all rushed, which sometimes that’s not the most fun thing to deal with. So, I’m excited about that. As far as conventions and other shows and bookings go I can still do as I please which is exciting as well. So, I get to make their stuff a priority ‘cause I really want to show them they made a good choice bringing me on. The fans have been welcoming already.”

On her previous work with Impact: “(For Impact) I (only) did it whenever they came through Canada. So, that was about, I think four, five months I was doing their TV. Then once that was done, I did a little bit of that Twitch show with Anthony Carelli and then the AEW stuff came around. The timing of everything just kinda made sense. I think it’s super cool being able to come here and go to different states. For me it’s just great for the food alone. America, the food is so much better here, the shopping’s better—sorry, Canada. Your poutine’s great. It’s just a little bit different. I don’t even think it’s the people, it’s just the vibe, the atmosphere. Being Canadian, you’re so used to your surroundings, so whenever I get to road trip from state to state, it’s just fun for me. So, those are the differences. But, the exchange rate, like [Ethan Page] is so right on that, yup.”
