Vickie Guerrero Says WWE Cut Her Off When She Did AEW Gig
Vickie Guerrero’s one-off appearance at AEW came at the cost of her WWE relationship, as she revealed on her podcast. Guerrero made an appearance as a guest commentator on AEW Dark in December and speaking to David Benoit on his podcast, she revealed that WWE won’t talk to her anymore because of it.

On getting cut off by WWE: “There was — you know, I have the podcast now and I had asked to interview some Superstars for my podcast. And they found [out] that I went to AEW, and now they don’t even talk to me … And I was — between me and you, let’s just put it that way. I mean, they didn’t call me for two years, I haven’t heard from them.”
On her reaction to being cut off: “So, what did they expect me to do? Just to sit here and wait for them to call so I could do some work? I mean, I’m gonna go [work]. I love wrestling. I love to work in the ring. And if someone’s giving me an opportunity to go and show up and have some fun, then I should be able to because I’m not obligated to anybody. But I saw that I pissed in their Cheerios, and so be it, right?”
On the exclusionary tactics of WWE: “I just don’t understand. I think that, to be part of a promotion or anyone, you should encourage the other people there and the other promotions because it’s about everyone showing their talent and their craft. And I think there’s enough jobs out there and promotions to let everybody work, and to let everyone contribute to what they want to do in the industry. So when someone told me that I couldn’t interview the Superstars because I went to AEW, I was just like, ‘Wow. They’re gonna be like that.’ So you know, you just kind of quietly move on, and you see how they are and you just have to take care of your own business.”
