Notes on Segment With Boa & Mystery Man From Last Night’s NXT, Boa Refers to Him as His ‘ShiFu’

– As previously reported, Boa came out to inform Raquel Gonzalez that Xia Li would not be facing her on last night’s NXT broadcast. Gonzalez then destroyed Boa and beat him up. However, the segment would later continue. After the beatdown, the lights darkened, and a mystery man came to the ring and approached an apologetic Boa who was on his knees. The mystery man then handed Boa and envelope and wrote a symbol on Boa’s hand with ink.

The beaten wrestler took the envelope and showed contrition to the mystery man, who walked away. It was noted by WrestlingInc.com that the symbol written on Boa’s hand is a symbol for “strength” or “power.”

Later, Boa tweeted a clip of the segment from last night. He wrote in the caption only “ShiFu.” ShiFu is a Chinese word for master or teacher. It also used by the mentor in a teacher-student relationship. So it’s possible that the mystery man is his master or mentor.
