UPDATE: Deadline reports that screenings for Coyote vs. Acme are being set up this week for Amazon, Netflix and Apple, who all have interest in buying it. Amazon is said to be the leading candidate to acquire the film, which is finished and at one point was set for theatrical release. It is unknown if whoever purchases the project would put it in theaters.

Original: As previously reported, Warner Bros. Discovery made the decision to permanently shelve their film Coyote vs. ACME for a tax write-off. The live action/animation hybrid would have seen Wile E. Coyote sue ACME for years of defective products. The film was reportedly completed, and starred John Cena.

Puck reports that the film may still have a chance, as WBD has changed their mind about allowing filmmakers to shop the project to other potential studios. It had been reported before that the studio wouldn’t let that happen. This means that the film could still potentially see the light of day instead of getting erased.

The studio previously shelved the completed Batgirl for similar reasons, as well as a sequel to Scoob that was already in production.
