Eddie Dennis Recalls Coming On As Writer For WWE NXT
Eddie Denis had a run in NXT UK before it shut down and he moved to being a writer for the main NXT, something he looked back on in a new interview. Denis came on board NXT as a writer and a producer in early 2023, and he talked about the transition in an interview with WrestleMobs. You can see highlights below (per Wrestling Inc):
On the closing of NXT: “When they closed the brand down and said they were going to relaunch as Europe, they kind of mentioned to me, ‘Hey, we really appreciate your work and hopefully when things settle down there might be something for you.'”
On transitioning to the writing and producing team: “The thing about the writing gig is it’s like a full-time job. So they were like, ‘You wouldn’t be able to carry on wrestling.’ It wasn’t like a contractual obligation … it was just like you can’t be a wrestler, there aren’t enough hours in the day.”
