Kofi Kingston Says Wrestling Is In a ‘Special Spot,” New Day Doing Their Part To Keep It Going
Kofi Kingston is happy with where the wrestling business is and says he and Xavier Woods are doing their part to keep things going. Kingston and Woods appeared on Reality Of Wrestling and talked about being part of WWE during the current boom period, noting that it’s a “special time” right now.
“We’re really blessed to be in this era right now because wrestling is in a really, really special spot,” Kingston said (per Fightful). “So we’re just doing our part to lift everything up and to keep everything going, keep the momentum going, like you were talking about. Having all these sell-outs is a testament to all the hard work that we’ve put in over the years, and we want to keep it going.”
He continued, “It’s a special time, the people are tuned in, they’re locked in. We want to keep them tuned in and locked in for as long as we can, til the end of time. So we just go out there, we do what we do. We keep on going out and having the best matches, best performances, best promos, best backstages, best everything, and we keep on being the best. By doing that, we keep on lifting the business up, up, up, like a roller coaster.”
Kingston and Woods are currently feeling tension in their storyline on Raw, with Woods teasing a potential heel turn.
