Karrion Kross says that he hasn’t personally reached out to Triple H since his WWE contract expired and noted that he still considers WWE “home.” Kross touched on those topics during his appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show on Wednesday, where he spoke about his contract expiring and emphasized several times it was not a work. Helwani asked a number of questions about his stance toward WWE right now and you can see some highlights below:

On if he thought WWE made him the offer expecting he wouldn’t accept it: “I really don’t know what was the intention with all of this, I really don’t know. I don’t want to be unfair and speculate and put that on them. Like, again, I’m not trying to make anybody feel targeted by this. I just think that the wrong people were in the conversation, you know what I mean? Certainly, things like what you said go through your mind, though. I can’t deny that. You know, you wonder what what is going on here. It’s not following a logical course of discussion. I really tried to get it on track with that.”

On if he reach out to Triple H personally: “No… I spoke, I had a conversation with him earlier in the year about all of this. They took a point man, and they put him between us to communicate. So now the point man is responsible for all of the dialog… He [Triple H] knows that I want to talk, and he knows what I want to do. he knows. I don’t know what I would send him [in a text] because that guy who they put in front of them to talk to me is telling me that everything is coming from them. I’ve made it very, very clear that I want to keep the lines of communication and dialog open.

“It’s a very weird situation. Yeah, it’s weird. So I’ve conveyed everything. There’s really like — this is the way forward. Everyone just needs to stop being weird.”

On if he’s giving himself a deadline of how long he’ll wait: “No, no I haven’t. I’m not concerned about it. Like I said, I have never felt this supported in my entire life in all directions. I’ve never felt like I’ve had this before. There’s not a sense of urgency or a rush to commit into anything that is not right for me right now, and that is a blessing. I’ve never felt like this in my life. Everything is okay right now, everything is good. I would prefer to go back home [to WWE] with my wife. That’s what I would prefer to do, and let’s give people what they want.”

On still considering WWE ‘home’ despite his frustrations: “That’s life, man. Life — there’s there’s grief and setbacks and frustrations that are going to be a part of every single aspect of life, whether it’s this job or another. It was like an old Japanese saying that’s kind of stuck with me for a while. It’s, ‘You find a job you love and you never work a day in your life.’ Wrestling to me — I know for some is just a job. It’s not a job, really for me anymore. I tell people it’s a job. To me, I still love it. I love being able to go out there and perform and create moments for people that they’re not going to forget. That’s what it is all about.

“I don’t have an interest in making a complete and total departure from that, especially with WWE. I have so many great core memories of being there, even amongst all that other stuff. For me personally, as I speak to you today, [the other stuff] pales in comparison to the relationships and friendships that I have. Not even just with people in the locker room, but supporting staff, everybody. Like I’ve had — when I tell you I’ve had everybody reach out to me about all this, I mean, it’s literally everybody.”
