Gail Kim Says She Pitched a Dream Matchup With Mercedes Mone After Her WWE Exit

In response to a fan comment on social media, former TNA star Gail Kim revealed that she once pitched a matchup with Mercedes Mone to former TNA President Scott D’Amore for TNA (formerly Impact Wrestling). However, the matchup never came to pass.

According to Kim, she pitched the idea when Mone became available after leaving WWE, but the dream matchup never materialized. Gail Kim wrote, “I pitched it once to Scott when she was available but never came to be….”

Mercedes Mone would eventually sign with AEW, debuting in the company in 2024. She’s still currently signed to AEW, where she holds the AEW TBS Championship.
