Is former WWE Undisputed Champion Chris Jericho bound for a WWE return? As previously reported, there have been many questions and rumors as of late surrounding former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho, who is still currently contracted to AEW at the moment. Fans took note of Chris Jericho announcing the new touring schedule for his band Fozzy, which is not scheduled to run up against the 2026 Royal Rumble next month.
Additionally, Jericho also announced one week ago that he’s taking part in an event, Christmas Dinner With the Winnipeggers, on December 27, the same night as AEW Worlds End 2025. The show starts at 9:00 pm ET, during the middle of the AEW pay-per-view show.
The WWE premium live event presumably takes place after Jericho’s current AEW deal expires at the end of the year. This week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter has an update on Jericho.
According to Meltzer’s update, most in wrestling believe that Jericho is going back to WWE, and that he will be a surprise entrant for the rumble. Meltzer also speculated that Jericho’s return won’t be confirmed, as it’s likely information that WWE Chief Creative Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque will want to keep close to the vest and only reveal to a small group of people.
