Matt Cardona made his return to WWE Smackdown tonight, ditching the Zack Ryder name and competing in a match. The Indy God appeared on Friday night’s show to interrupt a promo by Kit Wilson and then wrestle him.
Wilson was in the process of trashing Buffalo’s fanbase when Cardona came out. He defeated Wilson in a little over four minutes with a Radio Silence. Michael Cole announced that Nick Aldis had signed Cardona to the Smackdown roster.
Cardona previously appeared on WWE Smackdown as a competitor in the Last Time Is Now Tournament on the November 14th episode of Smackdown as his old WWE name. He was last signed to WWE from 2005 until his release in 2020.
