Ava To Address Future Of NXT Championship On 1/13 WWE NXT

With Oba Femi vacating the NXT Championship, the future of the top prize in the men’s division on WWE’s developmental brand is up in the air.

As a result, Ava is set to address the matter this Tuesday on NXT. Earlier today, WWE NXT’s official X account shared the following:

For those unaware, Oba Femi defended the NXT Championship against current TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater last Tuesday at New Year’s Evil. Despite a stellar effort from Slater, The Ruler was able to pin him down and retain the title.

However, in the closing moments of the show, Femi shockingly left the belt in the ring. A day later, WWE confirmed that the Nigerian giant had indeed vacated the title, effectively confirming that he is main roster-bound.
