Tama Tonga & Joe Gacy React After WWE Tag Team Title Changes Hands On SmackDown

Last night’s SmackDown saw the WWE Tag Team Championship change hands, as Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa defeated The Wyatt Sicks’ Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy to capture the belts.

The finish of the match saw Solo Sikoa blasting Dexter Lumis with Uncle Howdy’s lantern behind the referee’s back. This allowed Tama Tonga to hit the Cut Throat and pick up a pinfall victory for the MFTs.

Tama is now a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion. He previously held the title for 84 days in 2024, initially with Jacob Fatu and then with Tonga Loa as part of the new Bloodline. Following his victory last night, Tama Tonga took to X to remind fans just that, as he wrote:

Last night’s defeat brought an end to the 196-day reign of The Wyatt Sicks as WWE Tag Team Champions. Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy won the title on the faction’s behalf on the July 11, 2025, episode of SmackDown by defeating The Street Profits.
