NXT Universe! The show herein known as the Tuesday Night Delight is hitting the road this week for a couple of shows, and while Stand and Deliver takes place in St. Louis this Saturday, tonight the weekly show returns to Madison Square Garden! Granted, it’s the Infosys Theater, but it’s still MSG, and tonight, the show is filled with equal parts action and equal parts drama and the pursuit of confrontation.
Tonight we will have two number one contender’s matches as we get title bouts set in stone for S&D Saturday. First up, we’ll look at the NXT Tag Team Titles, as Los Americanos’ Rayo and Bravo will face the Birthright for the chance to move on and face Swipe Right in St. Louis. Will Rayo and Bravo continue their teamwork and their “magic”, or will the strength in numbers will The Birthright to the win?
Speaking of number one contender’s matches, the NXT Women’s World Title will be defended by Jacy Jayne at S&D, but tonight, Kendal Grey and Lola Vice will do battle to find out who will oppose her for the title. Will Grey make good on her promise to secure another chance to dethrone Jayne, or will Vice defeat Grey and then defeat Jayne to fulfill her promise to become the first Cuban American born Women’s Champion in NXT?
Fresh off of their previous feuds, Kelani Jordan (who was involved with Vice) will face Jaida Parker (who was involved with Blake Monroe). Will Parker continue her great run since she returned from injury, or will Jordan continue to bully her opponents and get the better of Parker?
No referee wants to officiate a match between Jasper Troy and Keanu Carver, while Josh Briggs has been trying to get Robert Stone to pay attention to him. Solution: sign off on the Carver-Troy match and have Briggs agree to referee the match. Will Troy rebound from his recent title loss and protect the honor of his mentor Booker T, or will Carver kill him dead and, hopefully, Briggs as well?
OTM have stated that they have no friends in NXT, but they do know someone who hails from New York City, and that someone happens to be the TNA Men’s World Champion Mike Santana. Together, Bronco Nima, Lucien Price, and Santana will team up to take on DarkState. Can the trio find the chemistry to get the job done, or will DarkState get back on track with a win here?
In the non-contact but you know we’re going to get contact department, Tatum Paxley and Blake Monroe will come face-to-face ahead of their title match this Saturday. Considering that Monroe tried to trap (literally) Paxley under the stage and Paxley entered Monroe’s hotel room, I don’t expect everything to be cordial here. Also classified under the “non-contact” department, there will be a contract signing for the Men’s World Title between champion Joe Hendry and challengers Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, and Tony D’Angelo. Safe to say that this too will not end in pleasantries and nice ties. All of this and, of course, so much more in store for us tonight!
So, how is everyone doing on this Taco Tuesday? It’s full speed ahead for the delusional hype train, as the Flyers are literally on the precipice of making the playoffs for the first time since 2020 if they win their games and get a little bit of help along the way. The Pacers are winning games now, which defeats the purpose of “tanking” (even if Super Silver doesn’t like teams that tank), and the Phillies have gotten off to a trash start. Is it September yet?
But enough about me and enough about you, let’s get ready to chant the letters of N-X-T!

THEN!
NOW!
FOREVER!
TOGETHER!
NXT is on the road and LIVE tonight from the shadow of the Mecca, Madison Square Garden! Vic Joseph and Booker T are on the call tonight, although hopefully they keep Carver away from him tonight!
Skyline of New York and a view of the arena greet us! Lola Vice, WrenQCC, and Joe Hendry are all walking!
Our six-man match is up first!
DarkState vs. OTM and TNA World Champion Mike Santana
Shugars and Nima will start this off. Shugars takes a cheap shot at Price on the apron and slides across the ring and tags in Griffin. They collide before Griffin overpowers Nima and tags in Lennox. Dion with a front face lock, but Nima carries him across the ring and tags in Price, who lands some shots to the gut of Lennox. Quick tag back to Nima, corner clothesline from Bronco.
Santana gets the tag, and he hits a running back splash and a backdrop suplex. Back to his corner he takes Dion, and he feeds him to Price, but he escapes out the back door. Shugars with the tag, and he can’t send Price lol. Price has Shugars up, but Griffin spears Price to the corner.
Price escapes and tags in Nima, who teabags both Shugars and Lennox on the bottom rope. Lennox with a short DDT in response, as he rips away at Nima’s face. Griffin with the tag and he stomps on Nima. DarkState are in control as we head out for the break.
Nima is in the wrong part of town as DarkState work quick tags to isolate Bronco in their corner. Nima tries to get to his corner, but Lennox with a front face look and he knocks Price off the apron. Nima kicks Lennox into the ref by accident, and the tag to Santana isn’t seen. Shugars does get the tag, though, and he heads into for a pin for a two.
Shugars grounds Nima with a chin lock. He tags in Griffin, but Nima escapes and finally gets the tag to Price. Lucien wrecks house of DarkState by himself. He chucks Shugars into Lennox and hits a Urinage on Griffin. The pin, but Shugars breaks it up. Price stomps Shugars into the mat and tags in Santana.
Santana rolls into the ring and hits the Rolling Buck Fifty to Lennox! Tope Suicida takes care of Griffin and Shugars on the floor. In the ring, Santana with the Frog Splash, but Lennox kicks out at tow. Santana misses the follow-up splash, allowing DarkState to hit a Shield Powerbomb (kinda). The pin, but it’s broken up, and all hell breaks loose. Shugars and Santana are left in the ring, SPEAR from Santana! He tags in Price, but Santana with Spin the Block first, allowing OTM to hit In the Mud for the win!
WINNERS: OTM and Mike Santana
TIME: 11:00
THOUGHTS: A good opening match, and with OTM getting back up from the TNA World Champion, you knew that it was their match to lose.
RATING: ***1/2
Earlier today, Blake Howard sat down with Myles Borne. Borne says he is proud of the man that he has become, but he has to thank Ethan Page, because he pushed him and he took his advice and he’s the North American Champion. He knows as hard as it is to become champion, its harder to stay champion, but he is walking out of St. Louis champion. Blake mentions that Johnny Gargano is a triple crown champion in NXT, and Borne puts him over, but he says he hopes that Johnny Wrestling shows up.
Like Beetlejuice or Joe Hendry, Gargano is here! He shoos Howard away and sits down. He tells Borne to be careful what you wish for. Before there was Stand and Deliver, they used to call him Johnny Takeover. And if he shows up, then he will eat Myles alive. This is very personal, because if he wins that title, he goes back to SmackDown and he becomes the man that he is supposed to be. But if he losses, well, he goes back to Smackdown empty handed. Johnny will not lay down and die; he will stand and deliver.
Los Americanos are here to punch their ticket to the tag team title match at Stand and Deliver, next!
COMMERCIALS!
WrenQCC are in the back. Wren hypes up Kendal, who seems to be in a deep trance. Wren says she will be back, but she assures Kendal that she’s got this!
NXT Tag Team Tourney Finals: Los Americanos vs. The Birthright
Connors and Stacks will represent Birthright. Fairly sure they did when they defeated Hank and Tank. Los Americanos waste no time and attack on the floor during the Birthright’s entrance. In the ring, standing dropkick from Bravo to Connors. He tags in Rayo and they do the wishbone against the ring post.
Stacks with the tag, but Rayo rolls him up for a two. Chops from Rayo, who tags in Bravo. Connors distracts him through and Stacks sends him to the floor. Stacks returns Bravo to the ring and goes to dance with Ariana. Charlie shakes his head in disgust. Bravo ends up pushing him out of the way and he dances with Ariana, who feigns shock and horror lol.
Back in the ring, and Rayo gets the tag. He hits double knees in the corner to Stacks, but Connors sneaks in from behind with a back suplex for a two. That will take us to the break.
Rayo and Connors are on the top as we return. Connors thinking Superplex, but Rayo with a Sunset Flip Bomb from the top instead! Bravo gets the tag, and he mounts Connors in his corner. He can only get three punches before Connors shoves him away. Back body drop from Bravo, and Stacks gets the tag. He ends up in the corner and Bravo is able to hit ALL the punches this time lol.
Rayo gets the tag, but he gets tagged by Connors and Stacks. Running knee strike in the corner from Connors, but Rayo kicks out at two. Quick tags from Birthright follow. Stacks with a knee drop for a two. Rayo tries to chop him away, but Stacks flattens Rayo with a clothesline for a two.
Another quick tag to Connors, who hits chops Rayo, but Rayo responds with strikes, and a hockey fight breaks out. Knee strike from Connors, but X-Plex from Rayo follows! Lola Vice is seen preparing in the back, as Bravo and Stacks get the tag. Bravo takes it to both Connors and Stacks. Lorenzo ends up in the airplane spin into the powerbomb toss! Bravo to the top, Ariana to the apron, allowing Lexis King to knock Bravo from the top rope.
Shiloh Hill is here, as he threatens Dempsey and King with a chair! In the confusion, Stacks eats a running knee strike from Rayo. Rana from Rayo and a Splash from Bravo, but Connors saves Stacks. Connors sends Rayo to the floor, Bravo eats an enziguri from Connors. Stacks with a tope to Rayo on the floor, Swanton Bomb from Connors, but Bravo kicks out at 2.8! Connors is in shock as he pulls down his knee pad, but El Grande Americano is here! Rayo hands Bravo the metal! He hits the flying headbutt to Connors and Los Americanos are moving on!
WINNER: Los Americanos
TIME: 10:35
THOUGHTS: OLE! What a great day it is when Rayo and Bravo win! And El Grande himself even made an appearance! Joking aside, you knew they were winning, because a heel-heel match doesn’t work here.
RATING: ***3/4
Los Americanos chirp at Vanity Project, who are seen on the balcony. Random cut to Las Vegas with no context lol.
DarkState are in the back, and they are pissed off. Lennox wants to know what happened. They were so close to everything that they wanted, and now instead of being the hunters, they are being hunted. Shugars says they can hit at any time anywhere, and Lennox says at Stand and Deliver, he will make sure they do.
Miss Parker has arrived!
Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan
Jordan avoids Parker at the bell and slaps her in the head. Parker shows how much she liked that when she throws Jordan to the corner and lands strikes. Jordan reverses this though and she hits a back heel trip in the corner. Jordan stomps on Parker, but Jaida recovers and sends Kelani to the floor.
The ring skirt is up, and as Parker tries to get back into the ring, Jordan uses that to her advantage and traps Parker in it, allowing her to land some strikes. She shoves Parker back out to the floor as she admires her handiwork as we head out for the break.
Parker tries to mount a rally, but Jordan hits a big clothesline during the break. Jordan drops her booty onto the back of Parker and poses. She does it again before sending Parker from corner-to-corner face first. Parker fights off a third attempt, calls Jordan stupid, and throws a back elbow. Parker slams Jordan face first into the mat before hitting a snapmare into a PK. This is followed by a sliding headlock.
Jordan fights back to her feet and hits a running back elbow. She waits for Parker to get back up and hits an elbow. Interesting spot where Parker went flying through the air and to the mat, not sure if Jordan was supposed to catch her or what. Jordan with a chinlock as we return from break proper.
Parker gets up with Jordan on her back still and rams her into the corner. She can’t get free, so she comes to center and sits back down to the mat. Parker picks up Jordan and puts her on the top rope, and she knocks Kelani to the arena floor. Jordan back to the apron, but Parker grabs her and throws her back into the ring. Strikes from Parker and she is feeling it.
She charges the corner, but Jordan gets spun around on the second rope and Parker hits a double knee. Parker takes too long high stepping, and Jordan hits a pump kick. Jordan grabs the arm of Parker between her legs and takes her to the mat with the cross-arm breaker. Parker gets the break, so Jordan heads to the top and hits a Frog Splash, but Parker kicks out at two. Jordan tries another pin but for a one this time.
Jordan is frustrated, but she goes to the corner looking for One of a Kind, but Parker cuts her off. She hits a German from the top! Hypnotic from Parker, followed by Deja Vu and Miss Parker wins it!
WINNER: Jaida Parker
TIME: 9:35
THOUGHTS: A good match between two awesome female talents. I wonder where they move Parker on from here.
RATING: ***1/4
The Vanity Project are in the back. They say she is so hot, and we see that she is Blake Monroe, who is admiring herself in NOT her North American Title. They rizz on her and they offer to protect her since New York is a dangerous place, but she takes off.
Ethan Page and Ricky Saints are walking in the back, as our contract signing is upon us. Tony D’Angelo is the first man out, however, followed by Saints, followed by Page, and last but not least, the Champ himself, Joe Hendry!
Robert Stone is also in the ring, but I mean, who is he compared to the other four guys lol. Stone has the mic. Stand and Deliver is this Saturday, and four of the biggest superstars will be in the ring competing for the NXT World Title. Four amazing athletes, and he cannot think of a bigger main event on NXT’s biggest show of the year, so let’s lock this down.
Page and Saints argue over who will go first, so Hendry takes the contract and signs it. He cannot wait to see who stabs the other one in the back first, because you can’t stand the thought of either one of you becoming the champion. Your plan will fall apart because you won’t be able to get out of your own way. Hendry is passionate about being the champion, passionate about being in NXT, and passionate about being in New York City! And he will be the last one standing with his arms raised and waiving with everyone chanting WE BELIEVE!
Ricky wants Hendry to stick to singing his theme song, because you don’t understand his friendship with Ethan. They might argue about things, but they have each other’s backs. So, at Stand and Deliver, he is going to become a two-time NXT World Champion!
Page takes the book next and says that he has been too focused on the North American Title and he knows that he is the greatest commodity in WWE, so he is going to become the two time NXT World Champion!
ENOUGH, says Tony. He used to do these sit-downs so he understands how this goes. Ethan, you were champion, but just as quickly, you lost it. Ricky, you came in, and you had all this hype, but you are absolute, an absolute failure. And Joe, I have no qualms with you, but this is about the title and not viral moments. Everyone else here is an outsider, while Tony is an NXT lifer. He has NXT in his blood, and at Stand and Deliver, he is going to run all three of them over like a damn freight train.
Tony signs the contract and tells Stone you know how these things end, before slamming Ricky’s head into the table! Page and Hendry brawl as well, and officials are here to attempt to break it up!
Speaking of brawl, Carver and Troy are walking in the back, and they will faceoff next!
COMMERCIALS!
Josh Briggs is in the ring standing in the corner with his referee shirt on for this match.
Keanu Carver vs. Jasper Troy
Booker says that he wants some respect to be beaten into Carver tonight. Troy makes his entrance, but as he gets on the apron, Carver launches an attack. Carver throws Troy into the ring post and then the ring steps. He goes for Troy’s chain, but Jasper takes it back and throws Carver into the apron. The men finally enter the ring, and Briggs rings the bell.
Carver turns the tables and chokes Troy with his boot in the corner. Briggs gets into the face of Carver, Keanu stares down Booker, and he puts his hands on a fan at ring side. Briggs breaks it up, and Carver threatens Vic and Booker. Troy is back, and he chokeslams Carver into the announce table! Back in the ring, and Troy hits the Blackhole Slam! The cover, but Carver kicks out at two.
Troy puts his hands on Briggs, but he backs off. Briggs hits a big boot to Troy! Carver with a pin, but Troy kicks out at two. Powerslam from Carver, and that’s it.
WINNER: Keanu Carver
TIME: 2:25
THOUGHTS: That was something.
RATING: N/R
Post-match, Briggs with a big boot to Carver, and he leaves the ring.
In the back, Hank, Tank, Sean Legacy, Eli Knight, and Elio LeFleur are commiserating. Elio says that he is going to be out for six months due to injury, so he will have to vacate his Speed Title. Wren Sinclair is here, and she tells Elio that she is sorry that he is injured. Shiloh Hill is here, and he has a plan for Stand and Deliver. He cackles like a Hyena and leaves.
My brain.
COMMERCIALS!
Tatum Paxley is here, but she is missing her title. That should be rectified here, as she is here to see Blake Monroe face-to-face! Paxley has a mic. Last week, it felt so good to grab her by that platinum blonde hair and hearing her scream and almost kicking down the door to her hotel room. Blake Monroe is scared, and that excites me. She asked Monroe to bring her title to New York City, so come out and give me what is mine.
Monroe is here. Tatum, I don’t understand what your issue with me is, because I have no problem with you. This North American Title just feels right, because I didn’t lose it in the first place. And now, it looks so good in my arms.
Paxley sees why people get so blinded by the Glamour, but you have something that belongs to me. You have the opportunity, though, because Stand and Deliver is our biggest show of the year, and what is it without Blake Monroe? Tatum knows there are many parts to Blake, but wouldn’t you just hate it if you had to watch S&D from home? She knows the feelings and the cravings, because Tatum has been there before. She did things that she wasn’t proud of, just like you. So, let’s have some fun Saturday!
Blake says that sounds like an interesting proposition, and you would be the perfect co-star for this. Blake accepts, but for you to say that the same things run through her brain run through hers is insane, even for you. What runs through Monroe’s head is thoughts of gold and Glamour. The CW even named a drink after her, while you look like you should be in the crowd with these filthy fans.
Paxley says no no no, you are not understanding her. There is another side to her. She can the goth to her glamour. She will let her decide her fate tonight; you will give me back what is mine tonight.
A tug-of-war ensues over the title, and Paxley dropkicks Monroe from the ring, but Blake STILL has the title in her possession as she heads up the ramp.
Sarah Schriber and Stone are in the back. He says he has signed a ten-person intergender match for the Kickoff Show before Stand and Deliver. Carver is here, and he wants Brigg’s punk ass, so Stone says next week, it will be a triple threat between Carver, Troy, and Briggs. We hear an attack going on in the back and see Kelani Jordan is attacking Jaida Parker with a trash can! Officials break it up and pull Jordan away.
We will study the rise and fall of ZaRuca next!
COMMERCIALS!
NXT Focus presented by Progressive Auto Insurance highlights the rise of Sol Ruca and Zaria, lovingly known as ZaRuca. We see Sol’s accomplishments in NXT, along with her getting to compete on John Cena’s Final Show and at the Royal Rumble in January. We see everyone trying to belittle Zaria because she hasn’t had success that Ruca has. The fall, of course, comes when Zaria SPEARS Ruca and hits an F-5 on her onto the announce table. Zaria aired her grievances with her former best friend and how she was upset with all of Sol’s successes. This will end at Stand and Deliver, where it all began in the first place!
Fatal Influence are in the back watching this. Jacy says she is glad she is not in that mess and she gets to watch them destroy each other. Izzi Dame stops in and she says she sees what everyone wants, and it’s not these two (referring to Fallon and Lainey). She will make her intentions known, and she leaves.
Vic runs down the matches for Saturday’s Stand and Deliver, including the Women’s North American Title being defended on the Kickoff!
Lola Vice, Wren Sinclair, and Kendal Grey are walking towards the ring for the main event, next!
COMMERCIALS!
NXT Women’s World Title Number One Contender’s Match: Lola Vice vs. Kendal Grey W/Wren Sinclair
The bell rings and we get an early lock-up with no clear advantage. They try again, and mat wrestling ensues. Both ladies to their feet and reversals are traded. Both look for an advantage, but we get a standoff.
Vice with a side headlock, but Grey rolls her up for a quick one count. Grey reverses it into an Anaconda Vice, but Vice rolls through. Neither lady is willing to give any quarter here, but Vice with a shoulder tackle and a pose! Off the ropes, Grey tries a hip toss, but Vice goes to the cross-arm breaker. Vice ends up rolling up Grey for a two.
Vice with a strike and she shakes that thang! Grey off the ropes with a roll-up for a two. She cuts off a charging Vice with a boot and heads to the apron. Grey with a cartwheel, but Vice with a dropkick to curb her momentum. Vice kicks out the feet of Grey in the corner; she shimmies and hits a corner hip attack! A second one misses, but Vice sends Grey to the floor. Vice to the apron, and she hits a Meteora to Grey on the floor! She dances as we head out for break.
Lola does Eddie’s Three Amigos during the break. Grey manages to roll-up Vice for a two, but she kicks Grey in the gut and puts on a chinlock. Grey with a backslide for a two. Grey with a roll-up for a two, but Vice into a variation of the Cross face. Grey breaks it with a roll-up again, but Vice goes right back to the hold.
Jockeying ensues on the mat, and it ends with Grey hitting a flying clothesline to bring things to a neutral phase. Vice charges into back elbows from Grey. Leapfrog from Grey, and Kendal with clotheslines and a German! THE STRAPS ARE DOWN! T-Bone Suplex! Drop Step, and another T-Bone from Kendal! Vice fights Grey off, but she misses the back fist. Grey with the cross-arm breaker! Vice fights free, and Lola with a full body sleeper! Grey tries to roll away, and she ends up bridging out.
Vice headbutts Grey, sending her to the floor, as Fatal Influence are here! Grey tries a German on the floor, but Vice avoids it, but she can’t avoid the ring steps, as she crashes into them. Grey returns Vice to the ring and heads to the top. Grey jumps into a spinning kick, but she kicks out at two.
Grey with a stunner, she avoids Vice’s back fist and hits a back elbow of her own for a two. Both ladies stagger to their feet and trade shots. Grey ducks Vice and strings some hits together. Vice fires back, but her kick is caught and Grey with the Ankle Lock! She’s so close to the ropes, but Grey pulls her back! Roll through by Vice for a two. Bridge by Grey for a two.
Vice with the Guillotine, but Grey is back to her feet. She can’t shake Vice off though, and she ends up back on the mat. Kendal to one knee, now two knees, and she hits a Northern Lights Suplex for the win!
But wait, another referee says that there was a tap! Grey was tapping out, but the original referee didn’t see it!
WINNER: Not sure, possibly both Vice and Grey?
TIME: 13:25
THOUGHTS: A fantastic main event, but then again, considering who was involved, should we really be surprised? And clearly, the result of the match allows for another multi-person match to be set up for the title, much like with the Men’s Title.
RATING: ****
The referees discuss the decision with Mike Rome, as everyone is confused! Papa HBK is here, and he wonders into the ring to consult with the officials! AND we go off the air before there was a decision made. Guess we’ll have to check out social media to see what Shawn decided.
And with that, we are done!
