Paul Heyman heaps major praise on Oba Femi ahead of The Ruler’s WrestleMania debut against Brock Lesnar.
Femi has come in for universal praise for his undeniable talent, his demeanor, and the intensity he brings to the table, from fans and veterans of the industry. The Ruler has held on to his own since joining the main roster and throughout the build to his showdown with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 Night Two.
When one gets so much praise from all corners, it’s easy to get carried away and develop an attitude. However, that’s not the case with Oba Femi, according to Paul Heyman, who put over the former NXT Champion in a major way on The Stephen A. Smith Show earlier today.
Heyman described Femi as “poised and calm,” as someone who is supremely confident about his abilities but at the same time is not arrogant about it. Heyman agrees with Femi’s nickname, The Ruler, as he believes that the Nigerian was born to rule.
Here’s what Heyman said:
“Yeah! He’s poised; he’s calm. He knows it. He knows it, but it’s with no arrogance. He’s not walking around saying, ‘Yeah, I know it all, you bitches, just bow down and kiss my a**.’ And it’s not that way; you sit there and you look in his eyes, and you realize he’s not nervous. He’s not flinching. It’s not overwhelming to him. He calls himself ‘The Ruler’ Oba Femi, and that’s exactly what he was born to do. He was born to rule.”
