Hey kids! Steve Cook here with you for the latest episode of WWE Raw on Netflix! Backlash is going down this Saturday, and we can’t have a PLE main event without a contract signing so Roman Reigns & Jacob Fatu will put pen to paper tonight. Maybe Jacob will put his hand to Roman’s throat again in a Tongan Death Grip, who knows? Speaking of folks signing paperwork, Sol Ruca will officially sign with Raw tonight! This might lead to a match of some sort, so hopefully Sol’s recovered from Zaria killing her a couple of weeks ago on NXT. There will be a couple of other matches as well, including Finn Balor vs. JC McDona-you know what, I’ve heard that one before so let’s just see how they get out of it!

Then. Now. Forever. Together! Lots of revamping of this package lately.
We’re in Omaha, Nebraska! Oba Femi is WALKING! Original El Grande Americano is WALKING with some other masked people! Sol Ruca is WALKING! Penta & Je’Von Evans are STRUTTING! We’ve got a contract signing later tonight! An SUV drives up, and Roman Reigns gets out! Adam Pearce bothers him but Roman isn’t really listening while charging towards the ring, eventually Pearce says that Jacob Fatu is not here. Seth Rollins is here, and informs Roman that he’s in his way.
BURN IT DOWN! Seth Rollins walks down the ramp, then Bron Breakker attacks him from behind! Bron drops Seth into the barricade a couple of times before referees & security run down and try to break things up. Rollins gets sent into the steps and rolled into the ring. Bron spears Rollins in the ring since security can’t contain him. The fans want one more, lol! Bron backs up the ramp and leaves without incident. Michael Cole & Corey Graves are our hosts and talk about Rollins having no friends before leading into a video package about trouble within the Judgment Day. We see Finn Balor interacting with Roxanne Perez last week.
We go to the Judgment Day clubhouse and Roxanne doesn’t know what Finn was doing there. Liv Morgan isn’t convinced. Roxanne says she told Finn to leave and never come back, and Liv should know she’s loyal. Liv believes in Roxanne and doesn’t want anything to get in the way of the Judgment Day, so she wants Roxanne to promise she won’t keep any secrets anymore. Roxanne promises, and Raquel pats her head after Liv leaves with Dom & JD.
Finn Balor vs. JD McDonagh: JD works the arm early. Finn works the headlock. JD headscissors out and gets arm dragged. Dom distracts & JD takes advantage briefly. Finn chops JD around the ring. Two count for Finn. Finn hits a Irish legsweep for two. JD gets a two count off a legdrop to the back of Finn’s head, then works Finn’s knee over in the corner. JD works a leglock, Finn fights out. Finn rolls through a sunset flip, hits a dropkick and sends JD outside, Finn teases a dive, Dom with the distraction and JD kicks Finn outside. Roxanne Perez makes her way to the ring as we head to commercial.
Finn tries to fight back when we return, and here come Liv & Raquel to join the issue. Cole puts over Graves’ family as being actually nice as Finn fights back. Sling blade to JD! Finn knocks Dom off the apron, but JD rolls him up for two. JD hits a C4 for two. Finn’s got some welts on his back we can see up close. Finn kicks JD, goes up top for his finisher, but Dom crotches him while Raquel distracts the referee! Jessika has had enough and ejects Dom from the proceedings. JD hits a big move for two, Finn answers with a sling blade for two. Liv on the apron, she tosses the hammer to Roxanne! Roxanne hits Finn with the hammer, JD hits a running headbutt and gets the three count!
Winner: JD McDonagh (8:41 shown via pinfall)
JD and the Judgment Day girls stand over Finn.
JACKIE REDMOND talks to Seth Rollins about Backlash, he says he’ll be fine. He told the kid last week that he better finish the job, and he’s not dead yet.
Last Monday, Roman Reigns said the man makes the title, then he got death gripped by Jacob Fatu. Cole & Graves talk about how Haku, one of Jacob’s uncles, made the Tongan Death Grip famous and how it’s a rare move only used in serious situations.
We go back to last week when Joe Hendry sung about firing Logan Paul, he got attacked by Paul & Austin Theory & the Street Profits made the save.
Bron talks some shit about Seth Rollins to Paul & Theory. Paul Heyman wanders in and asks if Rollins is still breathing. Logan says he wants to make sure Joe Hendry is not breathing. Heyman talks Logan down since he’s afraid the guy will get suspended and says that Theory will face Hendry instead. Theory tells Logan that he’ll take care of the issue.
Penta & Je’Von Evans vs. Rusev & “All Ego” Ethan Page: Rusev & Evans start. Rusev drives Evans into the corner and powers him down. Evans fights back before getting elbowed down. Tag to Ego, Evans hits a vertical suplex & struts like he’s Penta. Penta tags in, Ego gets a bunch of kicks including the headstand dropkick, Evans sends Rusev outside and dives onto him. Penta Driver gets two on Page. We go to commercial!
Rusev splashes Penta into the corner and sends him outside. Rusev puts him back in the ring, Penta knocks Rusev off the apron, but Rusev yanks Evans off the corner to avoid the tag. Penta tries to tag, Ego attacks from behind. On the outside, Rusev goes for Evans and hits the steps. Ego can’t hit the finish on Penta, and Evans makes the tag. Evans hits a stunner on Page, then a suplex after kicking Rusev, then dives onto Rusev! Springboard clothesline gets two on Page. Evans goes up top, moonsault misses, Ego with a kick, misses his finish again, Evans with a kick and then the red dot. Tag to Penta, he hits a tornado DDT on Page for two. Rusev broke it up, he gets sent outside and Evans dives on him. Rusev is on the announce table, Evans goes up top and Page knocks him off. Penta kicks him. While Ego distracts the referee, Rusev suplexes Penta into the announce table! Rusev rolls Penta into the ring, Ego hits a Pittsburgh Plunge for the three count!
Winners: Rusev & “All Ego” Ethan Page (7:39 shown via pinfall)
Sol Ruca is WALKING!
Adam Pearce is in the ring. When he was a coach in NXT, his favorite days were when a blue-chipper that couldn’t miss was able to sign one of these contracts. We see a video package of some of Sol Ruca’s exploits in NXT. Pearce introduces her to the cheers of the crowd. Pearce congratulates Sol, but before she can sign the contract, here comes Becky Lynch! She’s been looking for Petty Pearce all day, he sanctioned a match against Iyo Jannetty, she rambles on and Sol asks if she’s done. Becky is not done. Sol says not everything is about Becky. Sol knows who she is and everything she’s accomplished, and she is everything people says she is. Rude, big headed bitch, and it’s not just her saying it! Becky wants to know if people will allow Sol to talk to her like this, and everyone says they will. Sol signs the contract, and if Becky ever interrupts her again, she’ll kick her ass and snatch her soul. Becky tries to slap Sol and slaps Pearce instead! Pearce storms off in a huff and Sol hits the Sol Snatcher on Becky. It wasn’t the cleanest thing of all time but it got the job done.
We go back to Friday night when Talla Tonga took the Usos out, then Jacob Fatu took Talla, Solo Sikoa & the Usos out. Jackie talks to the Usos about the big night, and Jey & Jimmy explain that tonight is about family business. They respect him swinging for the fences, but the Bloodline has been drawn.
Joe Hendry vs. Austin Theory (w/Logan Paul): We return to Joe Hendry singing about how Logan Paul is an amazing athlete, but he’s a piece of trash and he can shove his trading cards up his…can we fire Logan Paul? Logan is so irate that Austin Theory can’t even get a proper entrance. At least Logan causes a distraction so Theory can attack from behind and get an advantage. Theory with a hard whip into the corner. He suplexes Hendry, sets him up for another one, but Hendry reverses with a vertical suplex. Joe with some punches, clothesline to Theory. Hendry catches Theory and hits the Last Call. Hendry does his pose and Logan attacks from behind! That causes a DQ.
Winner: Joe Hendry (3:18 via disqualification)
It’s a 2 on 1 afterwards as the Vision stomp Hendry down before the Street Profits music hits! Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford send Logan out of the ring and set Theory up for their finish before Bron Breakker runs down and spears & suplexes Ford & Dawkins before Seth Rollins comes through the crowd and attacks! Seth sends Bron into the steps, knocks Theory & Logan off the apron before clotheslining Seth. Ford dives onto everyone on the outside, but that results in Bron spearing Seth!
Jackie is backstage with the Judgment Day and is curious about their focus. Raquel & Roxanne are targeting Paige & Brie Bella and want them to come to their show. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria interject themselves into the interview and Liv suggests that they should find a family and calls them losers.
Oba Femi is WALKING!
Oba Femi walks out, and here comes the Alpha Academy! I remember them! Akira Tozawa seems to be taking the lead here. Nah, it’s Otis instead.
Oba Femi vs. Otis (w/Akira Towaza & Maxxine Dupri): The shoulder blocks are evenly matched, they run back & forth & Oba hits a running uppercut and tosses Otis across the ring. Oba puts Otis on the middle rope, then lifts him for the Fall From Grace!
Winner: Oba Femi (1:47 via pinfall)
Seth Rollins insists he doesn’t need help from the officials, then he yells at the Street Profits & Joe Hendry about how they all are fighting the Vision. Roman Reigns is talking with Adam Pearce while Jacob Fatu arrives. The contract signing is on!
Earlier today, Adam Pearce sat Asuka & IYO SKY down for a face to face. IYO has avoided this fight for years. Asuka is her senpai, despite everything she’s done to her, she never wanted it to come to this. Asuka has changed. The Asuka she looked up to is no longer here, and now she has to fight her. The IYO Asuka taught is no longer in front of her, she doesn’t know anyone this disrespectful. IYO is her biggest disappointment, she’s done with her. At Backlash she will cut IYO out of her life for good. IYO says she is ready for Asuka. Asuka blue mists IYO! Pearce yells for a doctor! They’ll face off on Saturday.
Cole asks Graves about the stuff going on in AAA, specifically the Creed Brothers showing up on behalf of Original El Grande Americano & putting Nuevo through a table. Jackie is backstage with the OG & the Creeds under hoods. OG says a bunch of nonsense to Jackie trying to explain the upcoming trios match where now the Creed Brothers are under masks. I blame my guy Manu Bumb for insisting the Creeds should have been under masks for the original segment, now we have this match on Raw.
Original, Bruto & Julio Americano vs. El Grande, Rayo & Bravo Americano: Grande throws his cape at OG and everybody brawls. I haven’t heard a bell yet, ah there it is. The Creeds double backdrop Rayo. The OG Americanos triple team Rayo until Grande tags in. Grande & OG face off, this is actually pretty good. Rayo & Bravo trip OG & hold him for a baseball slide from Grande. We go to commercial!
OG & Grande tag in as we return. Side American legsweep by OG, Olympic Slam to Grande. OG Germans both Rayo & Bravo! Julio & Bravo take out Rayo. Bravo splashes OG off the top for a two count! Chaos Theory by OG, he goes up top, hits the diving headbutt on Rayo for the three count!
Winner: Original, Bruto & Julio Americano (5:33 shown via pinfall)
Cole & Graves tell us that the first hour of Backlash will be on ESPN2, and John Cena will have some history making news.
Roman Reigns’ music hits! The ones go to the sky as the OTC makes his way to the ring. After we return from commercial, Jacob Fatu gets introduced. Pearce lets us know that two signatures make the match official. Roman asks Omaha to acknowledge him, they do so and chant OTC. Roman tells Jacob that’s the sound of respect. Roman reminds Jacob he’s been here over twelve years. He brought Solo & Jacob in, and he’ll be damned if there’s not respect for him. There’s got to be some kind of honor system among their family they can hang their hat on. The Tongan Death Grip shouldn’t be done to family, certainly not to the Tribal Chief. Jacob says it’s him against the world, he has no other choice to take Roman out. He’ll choke him out just like the company’s been choking the family out. He wants to do anything for his household. Roman signs the contract and reminds Jacob he’s been worrying about several households. Roman’s been worrying about the whole family and trying to keep after them, and the company listens to him, not Jacob.
Roman & Jacob fight! Jacob tries the death grip, Roman punches away, Pearce tries to separate them, it doesn’t work, Jacob bounces Roman off the table! Jacob signs the contract, the fans chant “Fatu”. Jacob leaves the ring while the live event comes to an end. So long for now!
