Tomohiro Ishii appears to be back in AEW, appearing in a backstage segment released before tonight’s AEW Dynamite. The segment was posted to AEW’s Twitter account and featured The Conglomeration being interviewed by Renee Paquette about their win on AEW Collision.
Mark Briscoe said that he wasn’t able to be at the show and was upset about that, but that he and his buddy were watching the show. When asked which buddy he was talking about, he gestured to his left and the camera widened out to reveal Ishii.
Briscoe then said he was wanting to the next person he saw, and Lio Rush appeared behing him which resulted in the match being set. You can see the clip below.
Tomohiro Ishii has been out of action since suffering an injury at NJPW The New Beginning USA on February 27th. A member of the Conglomeration, he hasn’t been on AEW TV since around that time.
"I want to fight right now. I'll fight the next person I see."
