Persephone vs. Tessa Blanchard For CMLL World Women’s Title Set For End Of Month

Persephone will defend the CMLL Women’s World Championship against Tessa Blanchard at the end of the month. It was announced on Wednesday’s episode of CMLL Informa that the champion will defend her title against Blanchard on the company’s July 31st show.

The match was set up when Persephone, who appeared on the show, accepted a challenge from Blanchard. It was made official soon afterward on the episode.

The two have been feuding for some time in CMLL. Persephone has held the CMLL Women’s World Championship for 125 days, having won it from Mercedes Mone at CMLL La Noche de Las Amazonas on March 6th.

Blanchard was granted her release from TNA last month, explaining after her exit that TNA officials told her she needed to choose between TNA or CMLL.
