Matt Jackson recently commented on Kenny Omega’s monumental victory over MJF at Dynamite: Beach Break earlier this month and also explained The Young Bucks’ intention behind going after Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley.

As noted previously, Omega defeated MJF at the annual TV special earlier this month to capture the AEW World Championship. It was a monumental victory for Omega, as he would have never been challenged for the company’s top prize had he lost that match.

Speaking to Undisputed recently, Matt Jackson said he is “super happy” to see Kenny Omega reclaim his spot at the top of the mountain, especially after what he has gone through in his personal life in the past few years. Jackson said no current wrestler can replicate the atmosphere that Kenny creates.

Kenny Omega is set to team up with Death Riders’ Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley and take on The Don Callis Family on tonight’s Dynamite. Meanwhile, Matt and Nick Jackson will take on the Death Riders duo at Redemption this Sunday. During the conversation, Matt explained the Young Bucks’ intention behind battling Ospreay and Moxley at Redemption.

On Kenny Omega’s AEW World Championship victory

“It was great to see Big Match Kenny do what he does best; he creates an atmosphere that no other current wrestler can. When he’s in his element, there’s this inevitable feeling that you’re about to watch something that’ll be remembered forever. I was just super happy for him. He’s been through so much, and to see him come back from a near-death experience to be at the top of the mountain again, it was truly inspiring.”

On their motive behind wrestling Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay at Redemption

“Our motive here is pretty obvious—it’s to show Kenny that The Death Riders aren’t to be trusted,” said Jackson. “Sure, he and Will go way back and have a connection. Kenny was at Will’s wedding. They’ve had wars together. But Will is now a Death Rider. And nobody understands the inner workings of that faction better than us. We worked with them. We’ve been there for the speeches, we’ve been to the meetings. They’re basically a cult. Will could be completely gone, as far as I’m concerned. He’s got the devil in his ear now. And once we finish this business, it’s back to our main goal: the AEW tag team titles.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Jackson discussed The Young Bucks potentially facing Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in the future. Check his comments HERE.
