Tony Khan Provides Heartening Update on Steven Borden Following Unfortunate Injury at AEW All Out 2026

Tony Khan kicked off the post-AEW All Out 2026 Media Scrum with a heartening update on Steven Borden.

As noted, Borden’s first-ever AEW PPV match ended in disaster, as he was deemed unfit to continue by the referee after he collided with Kevin Knight mid-air and landed back-first, hitting his head on the mat in the process.

Later, Tony Schiavone provided an update on Borden’s status, noting that he was conscious and responsive and had been rushed to a hospital for medical evaluation. Another update from Schiavone later in the show revealed that Borden underwent a CT scan.

Tony Khan addressed Steven Borden’s medical situation at the start of the Media Scrum, sharing that the results from the CT scan and other tests have come out well and the AEW talent is expected to fly home tomorrow. Here’s what he said:

“I have a great update. Thankfully Steven Borden is awake and responsive at the hospital, and he had a CT scan, and all the tests have come back good. So far all good results, and we’re hopeful Steven is going to be able to fly home tomorrow to his family.”
