Dana White Believes Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov Will Do 2 Million PPV Buys

Dana White says the believes the Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov-headlined UFC 229 will do two million PPV buys. White spoke with Yahoo! Sports and made the bold prediction that the show will be among those rarified MMA shows that have topped the two million mark.

“I am confident it will do 2 million on pay-per-view,” White told the site about the show, which sold out in three hours. Per Yahoo!, that will result in a near-record gate of over $15 million.

White noted that this show does not have complimentary tickets for fighters because of the marquee value, and that several fighters have had to buy their own tickets. He added, “We’ve had some regular people pay $10,000 for a ticket. But when I say regular people, I should say some very rich, regular people.”

The show takes place on Octover 6th from Las Vegas, Nevada.
