Batgirl Directors Confirm Batman Will Appear in HBO Max Film

Batgirl is set to arrive on HBO Max next year, and the directors have revealed that Batman will appear in the film. The new movie is set to be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah from a script by Christina Hodson, and will see Leslie Grace take on the role of Barbara Gordon. Speaking with VRTNWS for a new interview, the directors have confirmed reports that Batman will be in the film.

When asked about which Batman would appear, Arbi said, “Now you’re asking too much. I can say that it’s really Batman Batman.”

Fallah added, “But who, we can’t say…I don’t think we’re allowed to go into that much detail.”

Details on the film are still scarce, though it is expected to feature J.K. Simmons as Barbara’s father, Commissioner James Gordon. It does not have an official release date but is expected to arrive next year; we may well learn more about the movie this weekend during DC FanDome.
