Donald Trump Reportedly Asking for Stormy Daniels Case to be Put on Hold for 90 Days
TMZ has an update in the ongoing lawsuit involving United States President Donald Trump and Stormy Daniels. Based on the latest report, Trump’s legal team has filed new documents that “basically” state that Trump wants the case put on hold for a period of 90 days.
The request is reportedly based on the recent raid of the home and hotel room of Trump’s attorney, Michael Cohen. Trump’s legal team is claiming that the raid has hindered the team’s ability to provide proper legal defense for the president against the former adult film star.
The report adds that Cohen pleading the fifth in a criminal case could harm Trump in his legal issue with Daniels, as Cohen is Trump’s key witness. Trump’s legal team is reportedly arguing that the situation puts Cohen in an impossible position, and the fair thing to do would be to let Trump deal with one case at a time.
Stormy Daniels previously filed a lawsuit against President Trump and Cohen in order to overturn her alleged “hush” agreement to not speak about her affair with Trump.
