First Look at Netflix’s Wednesday Series Features Jenna Ortega, Thing

Netflix is bowing their Addams Family series Wednesday later this year, and we now have our first-look teaser of the Jenna Ortega-starring show. You can see the teaser video that Netflix released on Monday below, which features Ortega as the titular unearthy child, along with Thing lending a hand.

The eight-episode supernatural coming-of-age comedy stars Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, George Burcea as Lurch, and Christina Ricci as a new character. The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
