Former IWGP Women’s Champion Sareee is set to return to in-ring competition following a short injury-related break.
The Japanese wrestler took to social media on Saturday, June 20, to announce that she’ll wrestle at an event hosted by Marvelous promotion at Fukuoka Nishitetsu Hall this Sunday. Sareee will team up with Takumi Iroha and take on AAAW Tag Team Champions Nyla Rose and Nightshade.
She wrote:

This will be her first in-ring outing since May 12, 2026. The joshi wrestler has since been sidelined with a neck injury. She was initially scheduled to take on Skye Blue in a first-round Women’s Owen Hart Foundation match on Dynamite earlier this month but was ultimately replaced by Maya World.
Sareee later revealed in an interview that the AEW medical team didn’t clear her despite the approval from their Japanese counterparts. She later took to social media to apologize to her fans for missing the tournament. AEW boss Tony Khan responded to her post, writing that the door is always open for her in All Elite Wrestling.
No apologies are necessary! Heal up, good luck in your recovery, and you’re welcome to come back here anytime, the door to @AEW is open for you!
