Dungeons & Dragons continues to expand its reach, with a television series on the way from the creator of John Wick. THR reports that Derek Kolstad is writing a script for a D&D series for Hasbro and eOne, the latest in Hasbro (who own D&D developers Wizards of the Coast) to capitalize on the roleplaying game’s rise in popularity.

D&D has become a hot commodity not just on tabletops as of late, but in media. Amazon picked up two seasons of the upcoming Critical Role animated series back in November, based on one of the most popular arcs of the beloved D&D livestream game. And a D&D film is on the way from Hasbro with Chris Pine set to star.

It is not yet known if the television series will be connected to the film. D&D’s universe operates as a multiverse similar to that of Marvel and DC comics, with multiple worlds and settings such as Faerun (The Forgotten Realms), Eberron, Athas (Dark Sun), Krynn (Dragonlance), Oerth (Greyhawk), and the aforementioned Critical Role’s Exandria. THR also notes that Hasbro is looking at other writers to potentially develop other projects https://411mania.com/movies/chris-pine-in-talks-for-dungeons-dragons-movie/
