Kat Dennings Doesn’t Think She’s Back For Thor: Love and Thunder

When Thor: Love and Thunder arrives in early 2022, it may be missing a Darcy Lewis according to Kat Dennings. Dennings spoke with ET Online ahead of the premiere of WandaVision, in which she reprises her MCU role as Darcy, and asked whether she’ll appear in the upcoming fourth Thor film which will see Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster become the new Thor.

“No, still no idea!” said Dennings in response to the question. “I don’t think I’m in it. I feel like I would have heard by now. So literally my answer is I have no idea, I have even less an idea than I did before.”

Taika Waititi is back to direct the film from a script he wrote, and a January production date is set. Whether she appears in the film or not, Dennings is excited to see how the story of Jane becoming Thor plays out.

“I thought it was genius, the most genius thing I had ever heard,” she said. “I think it’s so brilliant. I mean, [Portman], you know, she’s a rock star actor, she can do anything. As a fan, I’m just excited to watch it.”

Thor: Love and Thunder will star Chris Hemsworth, Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, and Waititi himself as the voice of Korg. It hits theaters on February 11, 2022.
