Wednesday has been a runaway success for Netflix since it debuted in late November, and to little surprise it will be back for a second season. Deadline reports that the streamer has renewed the Jenna Ortega-led mystery series for a second run.

The news comes as little surprise considering how popular the show has become. Wednesday, which stars Ortega as the eldest child of the Addams Family unit, is only the third show to cross 1 billion hours watched in its first four weeks (behind Stranger Things 4 and Squid Games). It has dominated the weekly Netflix top 10, with a stranglehold on the #1 position since it premiered on November 23rd. It is the #2 English-language TV series original on the platform of all-time with 1.237 billion hours watched, compared to 1.352 billion for the fourth run of Stranger Things.

The series follows Wednesday Addams (Ortega) as she attends the prestigious Ravenwood Academy, where her parents matriculated and met, and finds herself embroiled in a mystery as bodies start piling up. The first season also starred Gwendoline Christie, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Christina Ricci, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Luis Guzman.
