SDCC: Marvel Releases First Trailer for Disney+ Series I Am Groot

Marvel Studios revealed the first trailer for I Am Groot at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. The series features a young Groot going through several misadventures. Marvel said that the initial five animated shorts will premiere in August, followed by later episodes.

Each episode examines a different point in Groot’s childhood. The trailer features Groot encountering an alien race that views him as a threat.

Marvel also has plans for The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special on Disney+ this year before Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 hits theaters.

I Am Groot premieres on Disney+ on August 10th.
