Skydance’s Foundation Adaptation Headed to Apple

Apple has acquired Skydance’s adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series. According to Deadline, Apple picked up the TV series that will be based on the series. Skydance developed the series with David S. Goyer and Josh Friedman.
Foundation was originally published as eight short stories in Astounding Magazine, starting in 1942. It was eventually brought into a series of seven books by the acclaimed author. Foundation offers a complex saga about humans who are scattered on planets throughout the galaxy, living under the rule of the Galactic Empire. A psycho-historian, who can scientifically read the future, sees an imminent empire collapse, and sets to work preparing to save the knowledge of mankind.
