Netflix Announces Tiger King 2, Releases First Footage
Tiger King is returning to Netflix for a second season that will premiere sometime before the end of this year. The original 2020 season turned into a monster hit during the early days of the pandemic and Netflix is promising more “madness and mayhem” with season two. Some footage from season two is included in the teaser trailer for Netflix’s upcoming true crime documentaries which you can see below.
Season one focused on the society of big cat conservationists, particularly collectors such as Joe Exotic, and Big Cat Rescue owner Carole Baskin. Their feud was a central part of the documentary and led to Joe Exotic being currently imprisoned. It remains to be seen how involved Exotic will be in season two since he remains behind bars, but both he and Baskin are expected to have significant roles in season two and are included in the trailer.
