Universal Releases First Posters For The Exorcist: Believer

The Exorcist franchise returns this October with The Exorcist: Believer, and the first posters for the legacy sequel are online. The film’s official Twitter account shared the posters today and you can check them out below, featuring the two new victims of demonic possession.
The new film is set to release on October 13th and stars Leslie Odom Jr., Ellen Burstyn, Ann Dowd, Lidya Jewett, Raphael Sbarge, Jennifer Nettles, and Olivia Marcum. The film is intended to launch a new trilogy in the franchise and will see Burstyn reprise her role as Chris MacNeil from the 1973 classic.
Odom is playing a father of a girl who is among several who begin to show signs of possession, with MacNeil stepping in to help the children. Deadline previously reported that at the CinemaCon first look, Chris revealed that the matter is a personal one or her as she tells one of the possessed girls in the movie, “we’ve met before.”
