TNA Impact Begins…NOW!
-Tenay and West welcome us to the show and run down the card.

-We get highlights of last week’s show.

~THE MAFIA SPEAKS~

Angle has the mic and proudly introduces the newest member of the Main Event Mafia, their hit man, Scott Steiner. Steiner, in suit, comes to the ring to join the Mafia. Steiner says he has been rehabbing for four-months, and has watched the disrespect here in TNA and that pissed him off. He’ll get to those punk asses in a bit. THIS is the greatest assembly of world champions to ever assemble. They have earned respect and come together due to that respect. They gave the blood, sweat and tears for the business they love, and they have earned respect. They are the best, they have been around the world. They have wrestled where the Celtics won their titles, in MSG where Ali battled Fraizer for the title, they have wrestled in Japan in front of 70,000 people as well. But these punks go wrestle, play with their joysticks, read comics, go online and go to mark wrestling sites to see if they have a 4 or 5 star match. ASK THEM. They will tell you…that you suck. He has been in the business 22-years, and before he came to TNA he hadn’t heard of any of these punks. They were only there at the beginning because there were no other options. AJ can go back home, strap a billboard on his back and no one would know who he was. Joe is a half-breed and the same goes for him. The names on the Marquee are the stare, the names of the Main Event Mafia. The people at home watch for them, the stars. And now the curtain jerkers want to become stars, and they want into the ring with us and that is the only way they will get close to greatness. It is a new day in TNA, they will kick ass and look good doing it.

Samoa Joe, Creed, Young, Lethal, Sabin, and Shelley all come out to the ramp. He says that they don’t deny his words, if they understood them. They have all been around the world as well. But THEY did Ultimate X, Lethal Lockdown, high flying, the style that defined the company; that was them that did that. Joe says they have a war here, the Mafia recruited, and that’s good. He then calls Nash a backstabbing, traitorous son of a bitch. He will love beating him at Turning Point. And then at the Millionaire’s Club circle jerk, Steiner can tell what to expect at the PPV. Joe says he did some recruiting as well, and Christian Cage comes out. Cage says he is not on “their side” but doesn’t mind lending a hand against the Mafia. Cage says no one better talk trash about him especially Booker. He’ll slap the rug off of his head. These guys are trying to get where the Mafia is. Booker didn’t step into the business and just become main event, because Cage didn’t either. He busted his ass, and that is what the younger guys are doing. At Turning Point, Cage will take the Legend’s Title, embarrass Booker and at the end of the night he will say, I…AM…LEGEND. Booker then says that Cage is wrong, because after the PPV, Cage will be standing with the Mafia. In his country, you will know the true meaning of master, because Booker will own Cage’s punk ass all over the place!

-JB is with Foley and AJ, who just arrived. AJ was worried that something went wrong, but JB says everything went ok. AJ then says he has no idea why they rode together in what was a pointless interview.

-Tenay and West welcome us back to the show, and then hype the ladder match for later tonight.

Beer Money © w/Miss Jackie and Booker T w/Sharmell vs. Christian Cage and The Motor City Machine Guns (Sabin and Shelley)

Booker must be right at home with Jackie at ringside, just like old times. Roode and Alex to begin, lock up and to the corner, chops by Alex. Tag to Sabin, off the ropes and they double team Roode, poetry in motion and then Sabin covers for 2. Sabin whipped to the corner, boot to Roode, Storm nails Sabin and Roode with the spinebuster for 2. Booker tags in now, sidekick to Sabin and then distracts Cage and tags Roode back in. They beat down Sabin, to the corner and a tag to Storm. Double suplex… BEER…MONEY~! Sabin tries to fight back, but Storm keeps control and then covers for 2. Chinlock by Storm, Sabin escapes and then gets slammed right down. Rights by Storm in the corner, a whip, Sabin floats over, gets an Enziguri and now looks for the tag. Cage is in, cleans house on Beer Money. They try to suplex him, escape and gets the double inverted DDT. Booker drops to the floor, Roode tosses by Cage. Implant DDT to Storm and a cover gets 2. Cage takes Booker down, up top and Roode tosses him off. Tag to Booker, misses the kick and he tosses Cage to the apron. Stun gun off the ropes and FROG SPLASH to Booker! 1…2…NO! Beer Money in as well as the Guns. It breaks down, PLANCHA by Shelley, caught and Sabin follows with the dive to wipe them out. Cage avoids the ax kick, Jackie distracts the ref, Cage see this, Booker gets the Legend’s title from Sharmell, NAILS Cage and then covers for the win.

Winner: Beer Money and Booker T @ 5:30 via pin

  • A fine little opening match here. I would have loved to see it go longer, but what we got was good. I also like meshing the two feuds for the 6-man match, it is a simple way to get everyone involved TV time instead of giving away the matches before the PPV.
    RATING: **¾

-The Guns check on Cage after the match.

-JB tells JJ that Angle is not happy and is on his way to his office. JB warns JJ about Angle, and JJ says he will decide when and if he steps back into the ring.

-After the commercial Angle goes to JJ’s office with security all around. Angle asks how long JJ will hide and throw guys like Abyss at him. Angle will never forget, and after he finishes with JJ, retired or not, Foley is next. Angle mentions his kids again and that uncle Kurt may make a visit to his kids. Think about that!

-We see Kong and Saeed beating down Roxxi backstage.

-They hype the Turning Point Card:
    * Grudge Match: Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. Rhino
    * Falls Count Anywhere:Kurt Angle vs. Abyss
    * X-Division Championship Seeding Match: To determine the Top Contenders, Participants to be Announced
    * TNA Legend’s Title MatchIf Cage wins, he gets the title. If Booker wins, Cage must join the Main Event Mafia: Booker T © vs. Christian Cage
    * TNA World Tag Team Title Match: The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Beer Money ©
    * Kevin Nash vs. Samoa Joe
    * TNA World Title Match: Sting © vs. AJ Styles

-Roxxi is being checked backstage. He is apparently bleeding badly and they prepare to stretcher her out.

Tag Team Ladder Match for a Shot at the Titles: LAX (Hernandez y Homicide) vs. Tanahashi and Volador Jr. vs. Team 3D (Ray and Devon) vs. Matt Morgan and Abyss

I know you’ll be shocked, but there is brawling to begin. 3D to the floor, Hernandez catches and tosses Volador. Devon back in to battle with LAX. Tosses Cide, Ray in and slams Hernandez, Devon up top, head butt to the balls. Morgan back in, boot to Devon and Abyss follows to battle with Ray. Side slam by Morgan to Devon, and we’re going to head to a commercial @ 2:00.

Back from commercial @ 5:00 as Hernandez shoves the ladder, and Morgan falls off the top to the floor. Hernandez does his SUPER DIVE and eats the ladder as everyone cleared out of the way. Devon climbs, Cide as well and they fight at the top, Gringo Cutter by Cide off of the ladder! Cide set up the ladder again, climbs and Abyss is in and grabs Cide, shock treatment to Cide! Ray in and the Urinage to Abyss. Tanahashi moves, Ray levels the referee and then the jawbreaker to Ray. Clothesline to Ray, wrap up clothesline finally takes Ray down. One for Devon as well. Tanahashi up top and MISSES the frog splash on Devon. 3D on Tanahashi! They set up the ladder, Beer Money is in and stops 3D from climbing. Abyss makes his way in, climbs the ladder and gets the contract.

Winners: Matt Morgan and Abyss @ 8:00

  • Ugh, it was what it was. This was 5-minutes (after commercial) of some stuff that was fine for the most part, but didn’t allow anyone to shine. Also the fact that they gave away a ladder match, for a tag title shot, with no build is typical TNA.
    RATING: *

    -Morgan and Abyss celebrate.

    -Mick Foley walks.

    -Who Is Suicide?

    ~FOLEY SPEAKS~

Mick Foley make his way to the ring. Foley thanks us for being here, and he again hypes the new and improved Impact Zone. He now announces a mainstay in TNA, the man contending for the title this Sunday, AJ Styles.

AJ makes his way to the ring, Foley welcomes him to the ring. Foley then says 6-years ago JJ made a gutsy move to start TNA, as well as to build the company on the back on an unknown in AJ Styles. Foley heard tales, but then he saw AJ do things he thought impossible. Foley would ask Raven about AJ, and Raven would say that he is simply phenomenal. Foley puts over AJ as a triple-crown winner, the first ever in TNA. But Sunday he has to keep his cool, stand up for the company, and most daunting at all, defeat a great champion Sting. Foley says he knows that he can do it, change in inevitable, they have a new president, which proves that. The thing between he and Sting has become ugly. As far as TNA goes, AJ is their new “president-elect”, and this Sunday he has to go and take his oath of office. And when it is over, maybe Sting will come to his senses.

Sting now comes to the ramp and says he never lost his senses. He has spoken the truth since day one, but the problem is that you have to tell the guys what they want to hear, otherwise they throw tantrums. Foley hasn’t been around long enough to experience that. Sting respects Foley as a person, a wrestler, and for what he is trying to do in TNA, the same thing Sting tried to do. He is here to tell Foley that he will be disrespected as well. AJ says that there was no silver spoon in his mouth. Sting got everything he wanted in his contract, first class flying, limo riding “WOOOOOOO,” is that where you got it from? Are you trying to piss me off? Well you did that at Bound for Glory. AJ doesn’t know how they got to this point. Sting comes to the ring and says they got here when AJ spit in his face, when he questioned him. AJ promises to stand behind his word, and Sting then mocks him and says he is never wrong. When you had your conversation and arguments with “him” he was always wrong, your dad had every right to kick you out of the house when you were 15 AJ. You are undisciplined, what will little AJ do when he sees daddy throwing a tantrum on TV? Sting says the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and Foley has to hold AJ back from going after Sting.

-Lauren is with Wilde, and they discuss the attack on Roxxi. Wilde will go out and fight, and Khan walks in. She says not to walk into battle unarmed and that Wilde needs a weapon of mass destruction. I think Wilde would be better off by herself.

Awesome Kong and Riesha Saeed vs. Taylor Wilde and Rhaka Khan

Wilde dives at Kong, Kong tries to slam her but Wilde gets a roll up for 2. Wilde runs around, hit and run but eats a clothesline. Saeed tags in, chops to Wilde and then shoulder blocks in the corner. Wilde goes for a lucha arm drag, that didn’t go well. Head scissors follows and a cover for 2. Forearms by Wilde, charges for the corner and Kong levels her as Saeed gets out of the way. A slam by Saeed, Muta-Like elbow drop and a cover for 2. Tag to Kong, hair mare toss on Wilde. Kong stares down with Khan, slams down Wilde. Wilde battles back with rights, jumps on Kong’s back but gets slammed off. Kong then misses a running splash, Khan tags in and she stares down with Kong. Khan then goes after Wilde and chokeslams her in the middle of the ring. She throws her to Kong, IMPLANT BUSTER and that is all.

Winners: Kong and Saeed @ 4:00 via pin

  • It seemed off, especially between Wilde and Saeed, which I didn’t expect. I guess they had an off night. I will say that I like Khan WITH Kong, because there were rumors that Kong and Khan may feud, which would have sucked.
    RATING: *

-Khan stands tall with Saeed and Kong.

-JB is with Nash. He says Joe is walking around like he is the man, talking shit but talk is cheap. He ran down Scott Hall, and he knew Joe was a piece of shit. he trained hard for 8-weeks to get ready for this. He is bigger, stronger and more experienced than Joe. He has lost count how many times he has been world champion. When was the last time Joe fought a man like him? Nash has jackknifed Samoa Joe’s before, so the question is, is Joe ready?

    ~BASHIR and TENAY~

Earlier today Tenay met with Bashir. Tenay says he has been controversial. Bashir felt great growing up, but after 9/11 everything changed. Tenay says that he has been anti-American, but Bashir says he has been taking shit for 7-years. He loves America for all it gives to him, but he says the American people have made things difficult. Tenay then says he doesn’t show respect, and Bashir says he doesn’t have t be liked to be on top. Everywhere around the world he is respected, but not here in the US. Tenay says he is talented, and then says he lobbied with management to get him into the X-Cup because he respects his in ring ability. Bashir then says Tenay put him over, but then buried him on the mic. Bashir then says Tenay didn’t lose ANYTHING in 9/11. A guy like Bashir gets told he cannot be on a show because of his look. He lost his wife, his kid and then goes bat shit on Tenay as security breaks it up.

-They hype the Turning Point Card:
    * Awesome Kong and Riesha Saeed vs. Roxxi and Taylor Wilde
    * Grudge Match: Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. Rhino
    * Falls Count Anywhere:Kurt Angle vs. Abyss
    * X-Division Championship Seeding Match: To determine the Top Contenders, Participants to be Announced
    * TNA Legend’s Title MatchIf Cage wins, he gets the title. If Booker wins, Cage must join the Main Event Mafia: Booker T © vs. Christian Cage
    * TNA World Tag Team Title Match: The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Beer Money ©
    * Kevin Nash vs. Samoa Joe
    * TNA World Title Match: Sting © vs. AJ Styles

-Tenay says that the Main Event Mafia has the distinction of being the only Stable made up of multiple time world champions.

-Eric is not afraid of his pyro anymore!

Eric Young, Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed vs. The Main Event Mafia Kevin Nash, Kurt Angle and Sting)

Jay and Angle to begin. Clubbing shots by Angle, off the ropes and after a back spring counter, Jay gets control and jabs to Angle. Angle then turns Jay inside out with the clothesline and tags in Nash. To the corner and Nash choke tosses Jay out into the middle of the ring. Canadian Back Breaker by Nash and then he slams Jay down. To the corner, Nash signature offense and a tag to Sting. A boot to Jay, stomps follow and Sting works the arm. Tag back to Angle, a suplex on Jay and a cover for 2. Quick tag back to Sting, Jay counters the back suplex and tags in Young. Young cleans house, running powerslam on Sting and a cover for 2. Dropkick to Nash, Angle blind tags in and Young goes for the DVD on Sting, chop block by Angle and as he goes for the ankle lock, cradle by Young for 2. Angle now gets the ankle lock, Young battles and rolls out. Tag to Creed! HUGE cross body to Angle! SUPERKICK to Nash! Rolling thunder to Angle! 1…2…NO! Jay with the plancha to Sting! Angle sneaks back in, Angle slam on Creed and that is all.

Winners: The Main Event Mafia @ 5:00 via pin

  • This was not bad at all. I didn’t expect the young guys to get as much as they did, so that was a pleasant surprise. Creed’s hot tag was a load of fun as well and in the end, a guy with more experience just caught him. Obviously it could have used more time, but it was solid.
    RATING: **

-Lauren is with Rhino. He hates Bashir due to his Un-American rants. Rhino says this happens too much, opening the arms to people that abuse the country. Bashir stays here of his won free will. This is America, the land of the free and home of the brave, love it or get the hell out. Lauren corrects him, and he takes the mic and tells her to get her ass out before he gores her. Rhino is sick of his country getting abused, and he will deport Bashir via the GORE, GORE, GORE.

-We get a video package for Joe vs. Nash at the PPV.

    Scott Steiner vs. Samoa Joe

Joe charges in and Steiner attacks. Joe fights back, slams Steiner to the corner, Enziguri follows and then jabs by Joe. Snap mare by Joe, kicks follow and then the knee drop. Joe covers for 2. Elbows by Steiner, Joe goes for the choke but Steiner low blows him as the ref got distracted. Clubbing shots by Steiner, chops follow and then the overhead suplex. Steiner covers for 2. Chinlock by Steiner, Joe battles to his feet and elbows out. Steiner rakes the eyes, chops follow, off the ropes and a clothesline to Joe. Elbow drop and pushups by Steiner. We head to a commercial @ 2:00.

Back from commercial @ 6:00 as Steiner lays in the chops to Joe. Off the ropes, sunset flip try by Joe, Steiner misses a right and the big boot and back splash follow. Joe covers for 2. Head butts by Joe, a knee by Steiner and then more chops. Off the ropes, TBONE by Joe! Nash sneaks out from the back, Joe sets Steiner for the muscle buster, gets distracted by Nash, and then the ELBOW SUICIDA by Joe to Nash! Steiner has KNUX, Joe back in and Steiner LEVELS HIM with the knux and gets the pin.

Winner: Scott Steiner @ 8:00 via pin

  • Not that good of a match here. Steiner is obviously slowed more by the recently knee injury, and it showed here. He tried, but he needs to be relegated to tags for a while in my opinion.
    RATING: *½

-Steiner celebrates and then he and Nash beat down Joe. AJ makes the save with a chair, as the Main Event Mafia comes out to celebrate with Nash and Steiner.

    -PPV music video.

    *End scene.
