411’s TNA Impact Report 4.19.10

-We get highlights from Lockdown.

-“What We All Fight For” is the title of tonight’s episode.

-AJ Styles makes his way to the ring, in suit, to kick off the show. AJ says that everyone needs to shut up. Now due to his celebration and his victory party, Ric Flair will be here later. Speaking of victory, it was a sweet one last night. He proved that pound for pound, that he is the best in the world. At Lockdown, he stepped into the cage with one of the best and took care of business. No Ric Flair. His athletic ability was too much for the Pope. He was good, but not good enough. He tells Pope not to get down, he is like JJ, Sting, Angle, they are no better than the Pope. It doesn’t matter where or when it is, AJ is the best. Best looking, best athlete, the workhorse of TNA. So all of the guys in the back ready to jump on the bandwagon, well, it isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

-Mr. Monday Night Rob Van Dam makes his way out now. He’s the whole FN show, doncha know. Crowd loves RVD. RVD says that it may confuse AJ, but that is called a crowd reaction. RVD says he heard AJ talk, and he does a lot of that, and AJ seems to think he is the best in TNA. “AJ SUCKS” chant. RVD says he doesn’t suck, and maybe he was the best at some time, but it is obvious to everyone that times have changed. RVD knows AJ is upset that he took all of this time in TNA, and he is used to getting all of the attention. RVD says he is very good, but he has never been that impressed. AJ is having a hard time because all of the wrestlers want to be in TNA, and that is not good for AJ. How can AJ says he deserves the top spot over some of the guys, like “ROB VAN DAM.”

-Jeff Hardy now makes HIS way to the ring. He and RVD shake, crowd loves Jeff. He says AJ has a big head, and at least he is modest. AJ has done a lot, but Jeff is here to do more, and the movement has begun. The Charismatic Enigma is here to complete his world title collection with the TNA World Title.

-And now Hulk Hogan is coming out. He hugs RVD and Jeff, and has a mic. This is what he is talking about. THIS is why everyone is taking about TNA. That is why he brought these guys here. But, it is all about the title, brother. Everyone in the back, listen up. Up your game, because he is raising the bar. He gives AJ respect for holding the title, he is the best. But when you are the champion, things happen, and there is the business of being the champion. Big paychecks, girls and all. That’s why they all want the title. When Hogan was champ, it changed his life. Each night, you have to prove you are the best. There is always a target on your back, and there is always another guy waiting. Hogan cuts the crap and asks RVD and Jeff, how bad do they want the title? Will they put their friendship aside to see who is the best? Will they do it tonight? They shake and Hogan says that is great. Tonight they will do what they do best, tear the house down, while the crowd chants TNA! But, after tonight, when it is all said and done, the man that gets the 1, 2, 3, the winner, will get a shot at AJ and the title. AJ does NOT approve. AJ says you have to consult with him. He won’t be ready by Sacrifice. Hogan says he makes the matches, and it isn’t about Sacrifice. Hogan says he is talking about this. The winner gets a shot…TONIGHT ON IMPACT!

-Ric Flair arrives and is informed about the match. Flair does NOT approve!

-Back from commercial and we head to the ring. Ric Flair will be banned from ringside for tonight’s World Title match.

-Taz says Dixie Carter says that Sean Waltman knew that he would not be at the PPV last night.

KNOCKOUTS TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Daffney and ODB vs. The Beautiful People (Lacey Von Erich and Velvet Sky) © w/Madison Rayne
Sky and Daffney to begin. Knees by Daffney, she chases lacey, Sky gets the advantage. Tag to Lacey, snap mare and Lacey does a standing moonsault into an elbow drop. Tag to Sky, reverse curb stomp on Daffney. She covers for 2. Rights by Sky, to the 2nd rope, double ax misses as Daffney gets a right to the gut. Daffney misses the enziguri, but gets the tag to ODB. House of fire she is, Thesz press, rights follow and then spanks Sky. Corner press, sack of shit slam follows. Kip up, RUSTY TROMBONE~! Roll up, Rayne distracts the ref, Lacey sprays ODB with the hair spray and Sky rolls her up for the win.

-JB in the back, finds Flair and AJ. They argue about the match tonight, and Flair says this is not what they had planned. Flair says tonight, he knows AJ will win. But the most important thing is that Flair wants a rematch between Team Flair and Team Hogan. JB comes in and Flair says they have 5-minutes to answer the challenge.

-Back from commercial and Abyss is in the ring and Jeff Jarrett is with him. JJ gets a Team Hogan sign from the crowd. Abyss says that he and JJ heard the challenge, but the war ended last night. They did what they said they would do, they beat their asses. Now, if RVD and Jeff Hardy didn’t have a match, they would beat them again.

-Ric Flair comes out with Beer Money, Sting and Desmond Wolfe. Flair says to kiss his ass, he doesn’t take crap from anyone like Abyss. Screw the whole building. Team Flair is here to kick ass.

-Team Flair rushes the ring and they BRAWL! Sting uses the bat and Team Flair have the advantage. WHO WILL MAKE THE SAVE? ROB TERRY makes his way out to the ring! Clothesline to Roode, chokeslam to Storm! Press slam on Wolfe onto Sting, botched, but he got it. Terry clears the ring, and he stands tall with JJ and Abyss. Flair says he is a dead man.

-Eric Bischoff makes his way to the ramp, and says Flair should have learned his lesson last night. Bischoff says there will be a rematch, against Abyss, JJ, Rob Terry, and someone he has waiting in the back. He can’t wait to see Team Flair get their ass beat again.

-Back from commercial Matt Morgan talks with Shannon Moore. Morgan says that he needs a partner to defend the tag team titles against Team 3D next week. Management is making him take a partner. He says some gold will go with Moore’s tattoos well. Moore jokes about Morgan’s ego being the second person of his “we”. Moore says he has an X-Division title shot next week, and the book of DILLIAGAFFAGAFF says Morgan can kiss his ass.

-Tenay and Taz discuss the big matches still to come tonight.

– Hogan and Bischoff talk about last night, and Hogan will never doubt him again. They discuss tonight’s world title match and the team rematch. Bischoff is looking forward to all of this. Bischoff says “he” will be here tonight and be ready. They also discuss a new world title rankings system to debut next week. Bischoff’s chick, ECW BROOKE, is told to get the files on the ranking system. She has an amazing ass. Bischoff says she takes great DICK…tation.

-RVD walks and talks about fighting Jeff Hardy. That’s cool, they are after the same goal, and he will show that he is the whole FN show.

#1 CONTENDERS MATCH: RVD vs. Jeff Hardy
And here we go with the #1 contenders match. The shake, circle, look to lock up and RVD with the go behind and they separate. Test of strength, reversals, boot by Hardy, twist of fate countered and they stand off. We head to a commercial @ 2:00.

Back from commercial @ 3:30, and as they do battle, we go to another commercial…

Back from commercial, for real, @ 5:00 as the brawl on the outside. RVD gets Hardy on the railing, corkscrew leg drop by RVD connects. RVD’s cut is opened up from last night. Back into the ring, Hardy on the apron and RVD with a slingshot leg drop connects. RVD heads up top, leaping cross boy connects for 2. Forearms by RVD, rights by Hardy. RVD with leg kicks, to the corner and Hardy with a basement dropkick takes RVD down. Hardy with the leg drop to the balls, basement dropkick connects. Wrap around lariat connects for 2. A whip by Hardy, reversal, RVD rolls and Hardy gets the clothesline and a cover for 2. Rights by RVD, then by Hardy, Hardy with the leg drop into a cover for 2. Clothesline by Hardy gets 2. Hardy up top, RVD stops that and RBD sets him on the top rope, in the middle and then gets the kick off of the top rope. Hardy falls to the floor. Hardy makes it to his feet, back in the ring, and RVD gets a spinning leg drop and rolling splash for 2. RVD picks up Hardy, to the corner and Hardy slams him hard. Misses the corner dropkick, and RVD gets the split legged moonsualt for a CLOSE 2. RVD to his feet, kicks Hardy in the head and then again. RVD picks him up, suplex countered and a gut buster by Hardy connects. Up top he goes…RVD up and kicks Hardy. Hardy falls and is crotched. RVD up top, grabs Hardy, superplex try, countered, and RVD is tossed off. SWANTON misses! RVD up top…FIVE STAR! 1…2…3!

-Back from commercial and Christy Hemme is with RVD and Jeff Hardy. RVD says Jeff is his boy and nothing has changed. They say it was great and we get highlights from the match. They are BFF’s. RVD says that no matter who won, they have each other’s support. RVD is focused on AJ, and he knows he needs to be ready. RVD says he has some time to warm up, because the winner, RVD, gets his shot.

-Abyss, Terry and JJ talk in the back. Abyss thanks big Rob, and says he did what he had to do, raise his game. Team Flair, they have no idea what hind of freak he is. Terry says at the end of the night, they will know he is the freak. HE FLEXES A LOT. Abyss trusts Bischoff and Hogan, and says the partner, will be a bombshell. Is it Jesse James mistress Michelle “BOMBSHELL” McGee?

-Sting heads to the ring. The rules for the match are like Lockdown, with intervals. Opening interval is 5-minutes, then 2-minute intervals. Pins and submissions only after all 8-men are in the match.

TEAM FLAIR: James Storm, Robert Roode, Desmond Wolfe and Sting vs. TEAM HOGAN: Rob Terry, Jeff Jarrett, Abyss and ???
Sting and JJ will kick off the match. Sting and JJ brawl around the building as we come back from commercial. Sting slams JJ onto a chair and then nails him in the back with the chair. Another chair shot by Sting, and then slams JJ into the wall. The now brawl into the crowd, Sting in control here with rights. JJ starts to make his comeback and slams Sting into the wall. Chair shots to the back by JJ. “WHY STING WHY?” Sting slammed to the wall again, but then Sting slams JJ into the wall. For those interested, Sting is wearing his shirt. Back to ringside we go, and Sting drops JJ throat first into the barricade. We finally head into the ring, and Sting steps on the hands of JJ. An whip to the corner, Stinger splash misses, rights by JJ now. Clothesline by JJ levels Sting. Off the ropes and they clothesline each other, and BOTH men are down.

The time expires and the next man in is Desmond Wolfe. They now say that the match will become tag team rules. Wolfe tags in, uppercuts to JJ. Shots to the throat, slams JJ to the corner and more uppercuts. JJ battles back, rights to Wolfe, but Wolfe slams the arm of JJ to the mat. Wolfe sets JJ on the top rope, throat shot, tower of London try, JJ escapes and a side suplex by JJ and BOTH men are down.

Rob Terry is next out to even up the odds. He tags in and levels Wolfe with the clothesline. To the corner, big backdrop and then a clothesline to Sting. Orlando Jordan is out to watch on. Front slam by Terry, stalling vertical suplex into a jack hammer. We head to commercial @ 8:00.

Back from commercial @ 12:00 and Roode and Abyss are both out in the match. Abyss in control, corner splash connects from Abyss. Chokeslam try, gets it! Abyss gets hyped, rights to Roode in the corner, a whip and backdrop connects.

James Storm is now out, and it is 4-3 for Team Flair. Abyss eats a kick from Storm, and Roode gets the block buster. The double team the monster, knees from Storm. Off the ropes and a side slam by Abyss. Wolfe and JJ tag in, they brawl and now all of Team Flair, minus Sting, is in and JJ manages to take them out.

The clock ticks down and the fourth man is…SAMOA JOE! BUT WHO’S SIDE IS HE ON?

Joe in and he starts to KILL BITCHES! TBONE on Wolfe! Back corner elbow and kick to Sting! Drops Roode. Slams him to the corner, MUSCLE BUSTA TO ROODE~! 1…2…3!

Rating: **½ (Fine brawl tag, good return for Joe. He returned, killed, and left. I am fine with this.)

-Joe refuses to celebrate and leaves the ring.

-Ric Flair is out now. He gets cut off.

-Back from commercial and we see the Impact Zone, but have no one saying anything. Ok, Tenay and Taz are back. During the commercial, Flair challenged Abyss, Hall of Fame Ring vs. Hall of Fame Ring.

-Main Event time!

TNA WORLD TITLE MATCH: AJ Styles © vs. RVD
Ric Flair is banned from ringside.

AJ throws the robe at RVD and attacks! Rights by AJ, chokes out RVD, who is bleeding again from last night’s cut. AJ tosses him to the floor, and then gets a SWEET senton dive! We head to a commercial @ 1:00.

Back from commercial @ 4:00 as AJ continues to beat down RVD. RVD with rights, off the ropes and RVD counters, and rights by RVD. Off the ropes and RVD trips over AJ as he does the dropkick sequence, and then AJ kills him with the dropkick. Chops by AJ in the corner. AJ grabs a leg, trips RVD and drops elbows to the knee. RVD tries to fight back, kicks by RVD, but AJ gets the dragon screw leg whip. AJ continues to punish the leg, and then chokes him out with the boot. RVD misses a boot, but then connects full power and drops AJ. BOTH men are down now, working to their feet, chops by AJ. Rights by RVD, they trade, BOO, YAY! Clothesline by RVD, another and a third! To the corner, rights by RVD, a whip and rolling monkey flip by RVD shoots AJ all the way across the ring. ROLLING THUNDER connects! 1…2…NO! AJ scoops the legs, figure four locked in now! RVD fights, looks for a way to escape, gets the ropes and AJ has to break. AJ grabs a leg again, looks for the hold again, roll up and RVD gets a close 2. RVD misses a clothesline, PELE by AJ! AJ grabs RVD, Styles Clash try, RVD fights, and tosses AJ to the apron. AJ flies in but RVD POWERBOMBS HIM! Up top…FIVE STAR! 1…2…3!!!!!!!!!!

NEW CHAMPION!

OFFICIAL RESULT: AND NEW CHAMPION RVD @ 11:00 via pin
Rating: **¾ (Real slow start, but the last few minutes picked up nicely. A few hiccups stopped thing from being better. I want to see more from these guys.)

-Confetti falls in the Impact Zone as RVD celebrates in the ring.

-Jeff Hardy is out and celebrates with RVD.

-Hulk Hogan and TNA President Dixie Carter come into the ring along with other members of the TNA roster. Hogan presents RVD with the title. Team 3D put RVD on their shoulders as AJ looks on from ringside.
