411’s Tough Enough Report: Season 6: Episode 2

-Last week we saw Hank get sent home while ZZ and Josh survived being in the bottom 3. The voting made it clear that the fans love ZZ and that could bode well for him if he keeps getting put on the chopping block. The big story from last week was the Tanner vs. Every other Male in the house feud. Tanner has been smashing everyone in every drill, but several of the guys are quick to point out that cardio alone doesn’t mean you can be a wrestler. On the female side we didn’t get too much other than Dianna being questioned for crying over fact she doesn’t get to see her fiancé or plan their wedding. Hopefully, we can get more in ring training this week as well.

– As a reminder the finalists left are: Alexander, Joshua, Mada, Patrick, Tanner, and ZZ for the guys, and Amanda, Daria, Dianna, Gabi, Giorgia, and Sara for the women.

-We start out live from Full Sail University with our host Chris Jericho and Renee Young, who looks amazing. The judges are also here and yes, Paige’s much discussed rack is on full display for those in the comments section that were fascinated with it.

-Renee goes over the rules once again, and Jericho laughs at Hogan calling Paige “brother.”

-We go to the Tough Enough house following last week’s elimination and the contestants discuss what happened. Josh jokes that it was Paige’s fault he was in the bottom 3. The women get catty and attack Amanda as they seemingly want her to go home. Then seemingly everyone wants Dianna to go home, and they give her the nickname of “Princess Dianna.”

-Now Alex acts stupid as he calls out Patrick for his idea that the winner of the contest should know the history of the business. Alex doesn’t see why he has to know the history of the business, and that is just dumb on so many levels. He says he is here to start a new age, and knowing the history of wrestling doesn’t give you the skill to perform a move. In his own words, “knowledge means nothing.” Wow, just wow!

-They head off for the next challenge and they get taken to a swamp which should bode well for ZZ. Today the lesson seems to be to test their courage. The trainers (Booker, Billy Gunn, and Lita) tell them to look around as there is no telling what is in the water. We have a gator handler here and he brings out a tiny gator. Their challenge is to swim to the boat, grab one of the 12 NXT titles, and then swim back to dry land. Some looked freaked out at the idea of what could be in the water. I am just wondering what this has to do with wrestling, but Lita ties it in to being fearless.

-Patrick lets us know that he can’t swim and Dianna has a fear of dark water. Booker sends them off, and Billy yells that this is a challenge that ZZ might be able to win. Dianna gets freaked out by a nearby gator and she just books it to the boot. ZZ is naturally at home as he says the gators are his family. Billy talks shit on everyone because Deanna gets to the boat first while everyone wanted her out of the house.

-Patrick is struggling since he can’t swim, and Alex is struggling as well. Alex is apparently drowning in the water, so a life guard has to go out and save him. The judges are shocked that he is done already. Dianna beats everyone as she brags about being on the high school swim team. Yep, that will certainly help. The judges laugh as Patrick continues to struggle and even starts going in the wrong direction.

-ZZ doesn’t finish last for the first time, and Josh throws a fit as he feels Tanner cheated to get back first for the men. He actually throws a hissy fit over it, and Booker tells him that sometimes in this business you win by any means necessary. As a wise man once said in this great sport, “win if you can, lose if you must, but always cheat.”

-Everyone gets back and Booker talks about how Dianna blew everyone away. We also find out that Mada couldn’t finish the challenge so he is sitting on the emergency boat with Alex. Billy then rips into Daria for not having the NXT Title with her like everyone else who completed the challenge as she seemingly lost it in the water. She is in tears and calls the verbal lashing traumatizing. With that we head to a break.

-We come back with Renee going over how Gabi sent a tweet to Nikki Bella asking her what she thought about a match between the two.

-Back to the house and Josh is still bitching about Tanner cheating to get the win. They get into a shouting match while shooting pool and Tanner says if Josh puts his hands on him again, he will put him in the hospital. Nice! Josh laughs at the threat and Tanner heads off after slamming down a pool stick.

-Daria and Giorgia have a girl to girl about Daria being emotional. Then Girogia also bitches about being cheated as Dianna ran part of the challenge on the grass before getting in the water. Again, the trainers had no issue with this.

-Dianna and Gabi seemingly form an alliance because they are both hated by the other women. Patrick brings the awesome as he wants them to kiss and make up as it is legal in all 50 states.

-Over to Mada and he is heart broken over not finishing the challenge. He calls his wife to pick up his spirits and he also gets a chance to talk to his son. Sweet moment!

-The contestants head to the Performance Center and Roman Reigns is waiting for them. The girls drool over Roman and one girl says she got wet just looking at him. Okay then. Reigns says they aren’t ready to take a superman punch or spear, but they are going to see if they can take NXT star, Bull Dempsey’s finisher which is basically a top rope Earthquake splash.

-Back to Full Sail and Jericho jokes that he has a crush on Roman as well. Bryan doesn’t know what is going on as the girls are fawning over Roman and some of the guys can’t get through a swimming challenge. “Everyone is getting wet,” says Jericho. Paige is very impressed with Dianna even if she complains, and Hogan says he has only seen fear in the competitors. We head to another commercial break.

-Back to Full Sail and Renee goes over the various voting options.

-Back to the training and Booker asks them if they can be fearless. They are finally going to take a flat back bump for the first time. Alex goes first and he does a pretty solid job. Everyone seems to do rather well, though they make each one wear a padded helmet. Patrick kills it and Booker gives him props. ZZ doesn’t do as well and makes a joke about how each bump is burning 6 calories and he needs those to live.

-Their optional challenge is to take a flat back bump off a platform that is on the top rope. Lita says she broke her neck and no way would she take that bump right now. We get shots of everyone looking terrified, and does seem kind of silly to make that do that after what seems like just a short period of learning basic bumps.

-Gabi wants to go first and her legs as shaking as she stands on the platform. She says she is afraid of heights, and Billy coaches her through it. She takes the bump in an ugly manner, and we also see that this is the softer, padded ring. I mean it isn’t a trampoline or anything, but definitely softer than a normal ring. That explains why they pushed them up there so fast.

-Dianna is rather scared and everyone calls her out on it. She does eventually fall back and she rather sucks at it. Patrick kills it once again as does Tanner though Billy calls him an overachiever.

-After the session Booker names Patrick as the winner for the men, and Lita names Giorgia as the winner for the women for the week. The trainers then talk about how someone has to eliminated as I wonder what happened to them taking Bull’s finisher, and what was the point of Reigns being there? We head to another break.

-Back to the house and we get another cat fight with Daria and Dianna. She is rather pissed at being called Princess Dianna and Daria won’t relent. She heads off to go talk shit on the other girls with Gabi. Daria and Amanda head in to call them out on it and we have a 4 way cat fight with everyone else trying to ease drop.

-We leave that and head to Dianna flirting with ZZ. She does it because she wants ZZ to switch rooms with her. He agrees to do it as he just needs to feel if the apple pie is warm enough for him. Nice!

-Back to Full Sail and the 12 remaining contestants appear on the stage. There are 6 women left and so far Sara Lee is only one getting shut out of screen time which could be either good or bad. We take another break.

-Back at Full Sail as we get a quick ad for Full Sail as they try to get more students to their school. It has to be a great recruiting tool.

-Bryan calls up Patrick and Alex as he jokes about how neither can swim but still got in the water. He then questions Alex on his “knowledge means nothing” comment. This defense should be good. He says that knowing statistics doesn’t mean anything as while geeks were learning stats he was working on his game getting better. Patrick says he can see where Alex is coming from, but questions what happens if he gets injured will he still have the passion. Bryan thinks you don’t have to be a fan to get in the WWE, but you better become one when you are there. Hogan disagrees and thinks you need to know the history, know who Andre the Giant and Buddy Rogers are. Tell them Hulk!

-Hogan brings up ZZ and talks to him about gimmick infringement. He says The Rock is the one who eats the best pie and wants to know what kind of pie ZZ eats. He stalls for an answers and Paige tells him it isn’t a hard question. ZZ says he likes sugar free, and then Bryan asks him what he expects to see living with the women. He clears things up by saying that he was comparing women to pie as when they are hot better not touch, but when cool they are sweet. Everyone commends him for turning that one around. Hogan then asks Dianna where is staying now and ZZ says his warm bed.

-Paige brings up how Sara Lee blends into the background and Amanda is basically Daria’s sidekick so she wants them to quit blending in and do something or get out. Damn!

-Back to Hogan as he doesn’t know what was worse: seeing Alex and Mada quit the swimming challenge or Daria leaving the title on the swamp floor. Daria says it is the last failure she will make, and Mada tries to make an excuse about Booker pulling him out of the water due to lightning. Weak!

-Bryan picks Alex for the bottom three, Paige picks Sara Lee, and Hogan picks Dianna as he wants to know what gives with her. She isn’t afraid of heights but was scared of the platform. She is afraid of the dark water, but was on the swimming team.

-Renee once again goes over the ways to vote. This one should be interesting as you have 2 females and one male. You would think one of the women would go, but based on performance and just sheer stupidity it should be Alex. Sara seems like the kind of cool girl that guys will vote for, and Dianna has been best girl in challenges, so I do think Alex is toast here.

-We are back from break and each person gives their 30 second spiel to save their backside. Sara Lee comes off as likeable and says she won’t just jump in front of a camera to fight with another girl just to get noticed. Alex gives his take, and Dianna only needs 14 seconds to plead her case.

-Jericho heads to the judges and they aren’t saving anyone.

-The vote is in and Alex is heading him with only 15% of the vote. Dianna got 35% and America loves Sara Lee as she gets 50%. I am 2 for 2 so far in picking this thing, so yeah me I guess. That should bode well for Sara Lee because while she hasn’t been memorable she hasn’t acted like a catty bitch. As for Alex he was screwed once he talked about not needing to know the history of the business and then the swimming fiasco buried him.

-See everyone next week!
